I thought it was just my browser being stupid. Mostly for me, it was when I first clicked "go"; it would seem to not load until I stopped it and refreshed it, at which point it started behaving normally again.

For most of the morning and early afternoon, before I left for the day, I got almost nothing but 503s and 500s. The one time I was able to edit a post, most of my tags stopped parsing.

I've been experiencing it too. Unfortunately, I have no idea why.

My best guess is that it's the shared server problem rearing its ugly head again.

It seems like it's working fine for a while and then everything slows way down again...

We're definitely seeing some slowdowns, and unfortunately the monitoring tools I have available aren't giving much indication of what's going wrong. The symptoms (slowness, type of errors) indicate it's probably an issue with lots of traffic hitting the server, so I've set up some measures that should help if that's actually the case. We'll see how it works, I guess?

No. I think the server is just a little borked because someone downstream has been hogging it for the past week.

I must say though, I have been getting new and exciting errors. 500-504, even one that had a graphic explaining that it was in fact nogoblinsallowed that was the problem, and not the router in my local metroplex.

I mostly just get infinite loading times and the occasional 503.

I got a 524 error! No idea what that means. Actually I've gotten that one a couple of times.

EDIT: So I posted this and it went through ok but when the page tried to reload I got the 524 error again! Which is hilarious. But I wanted to note it because I was able to get the full information this time:

Lightning speed right now. Earlier I got Error 524: Website is offline.

Yep, I was getting 524s too. The one with the graphics and diagram explaining that the problem was not my computer or the CloudFlare router in Chicago.

Sorry that didn't work out, everybody. I've turned off a few services we have no use for to save server resources and will continue to look for things to optimize.

Not gonna lie, this morning it seems like it's worse than ever I can barely get anything to load.

I can mostly load things but it loads like molassus flowing uphill in midwinter.
