Look at Asher vs Lukas Harran for example. Huuuge character differences there; both monoblack characters.

Though, to be completely fair, Lukas is at least half white as far as personality is concerned.

True! I'd actually argue that as Raven writes him though he's much more black than he perhaps realizes... and from the perspective of what he'd be in card terms he'd be monoblack due to the curse. But yeah, his starting point was white.

This was actually a deliberate decision! DavFlameRock designed him as a mono-white character who was cursed to only be able to use black mana. When I usurped the character, I wanted to be true to Dav's original, but I wanted to at least try to capture that you can't use mana, especially exclusively, without it having an effect. I sort of look at Lukas Harran as someone with goals, but means, which sort of seeps into his methods, naturally. Basically, Lukas is fun to write!

It comes through in the writing--particularly the way he's loyal to (wow I can't remember the other character's name ugh I need more sleep) but only up to a certain point; his ultimate goal still hasn't changed and his actions beyond a certain point serve that very personal goal.

To my mind he's a very good example of a noble black aligned character.

Kahr would be deeply hurt that you forgot his name. However, he would still hit on you like mad.

Raven, please, don't tempt me. There's only so many times you can put a homosexual pyromancer out there without me making some joke.

I don't try to put him out there, he comes out on his own.

Actually, when I start to think about it, the main green ideals that came to mind when concepting Tsuchigo was Green's value of Acceptance, and some concern for "oneness". This ironically translates (for me) into him/her A. Seeking to 'accept' other planes for what they are despite not being Kamigawa B. Seeking to accept only the qualities of a plane that are familiar (Theros' devotion to divinities, Tarkir's eastern vibes and likely colored dragons, etc) C. Seeking "oneness" with the world, from a Planeswalker's PoV that would include the multiverse as a whole and I'm not sure what that could mean; my beginning thought process might be to seek out as MUCH commonality between planes as possible, which kind of coincides with B to an extent.

However I still basically intend Tsuchigo to attempt to dabble very little to none at all in other colors of mana/magic, however being extremely willing to utilise green mana in varying ways. I also want to experiment with the skin-shedding aspects of snakes for a slightly deeper effect, but can't see much deeper than the Naga's philosophy on shedding.
