Mildly related, having roleplayed a little, I should probably shift my character to lawful _evil_, now that I think about it.
Anyway, by all means try, it was actually a genuine proposal. You are one of the relationships I hoped for.
The other was a more abusive individual, which squinty doesn't seem terribly fit for right now.
Heard we're going to venture into a drow establishment though, so I'm sure it'll work out.

Okay question for the group - what are we actually doing right now? I know the eventual goal is 'get out of the underdark' but do we have any idea what steps that would take? At the minute I was just going to head into town and start asking around.

Why would we be heading to the slave markets? Are we making inquires about the escaped slave or something?

I was going to go to the slave market and ask about the escaped slave. Apparently we got here by some kind of magical means, otherwise we'd be able to backtrack out and try again. Puck couldn't even find a way out, which distresses me a bit more about the situation. So, I'm going along with the clues we have, which is the book of names and places, which may lead us to someone who knows whats going on. Besides, slave traders probably have to travel to find slaves, so someone there might know a route out. The rest of the denizens probably just stay in the city and don't travel, so asking them how to leave will probably yield very little.

As if you want my input. You can't fool me.

Anyway, as far as options, it's either "get out" or "find the way out". The first can be accomplished by finding someone or something willing to teleport us, or maybe get something with burrow speed and go straight surface. We could also farm enough xp to accomplish these things by ourselves, which probably isn't very fun.
If there is magic preventing us from going back, which I can't say I know much about, then finding someone capable of assisting us there will likely be difficult. I don't expect the fact that we know a little about slavery to assist us, but the thread itself could be useful as they might be more familiar with the underground pathways. Alternatively, we have a mask, that is mundane as far as I know. We could possibly get in contact with its owner, but having burned down his stand might make that less ideal.
We could also try to find another way out. Maybe there's a fight with some dwarves we could sign up for.

Edit: We could also try to find a non-drow.
