Nice. It could have just been a ban on X costs, but that way is much cooler. It's like blocking any number of creatures vs blocking an extra 99. It gives you hope that one day that number will be vital. 20 still seems high though.

Unfortunately that doesn't work, it doesn't work with a static ability, only with triggered or activated abilities, or spells

When ~ enters the battlefield, each other player puts six 1/1 white soldier tokens onto the battlefield

Kill your guy, guaranteed. Also, strangely, two 6/6s for 4 in a row

Not bad. A little under-powered perhaps. The rest of the hunted creatures give you a better deal.

Whenever a player would gain life, put a creature token onto the battlefield, or put a +1/+1 counter on a creature, instead that player doesn't and ~ deals 2 damage to him or her.

As long as it isn't the end of a player's turn, you don't lose the game for having zero or less life.
At the beginning of your end step, exile a card from your hand or sacrifice ~.

Yeah, I just made a blue bear. And it's drawback is that it's actually a 3/3. Thought about making it a 4/4, but I figure that in blue, this is good enough.
