I would probably take Megahorn just so you can hit Dark Types SE. Magic Coat is also enticing, but the Center frequency could be too punishing.

I was under the impression evasion bonuses were combined for whichever stat it's relevant
(def + spd for physical, sp. def + spd for special).

There's also a maximum of +6 from stat alone, and a hard cap of +9 evasion in total.

Anyway, not to be overly stuck up on this, but I'm actually going to need an answer on this.

You can do it if you want to; I won't prevent you. However, I do want to know the reason that compels you to, especially when you formulate youself with 'sadly', as if it is somehow regrettable. I don't see the perspective for it, so you'll have to share it with me.
I'll make preemptive mention of the fact that I won't accept an answer that resembles 'It's like that in the game', although I don't know if that could feasibly be the case or not.

If it didn't leap to some insane potential (example a Froakie with protean potentially at level 5 would be a little op even tho it doesn't have the best moveset to take advantage of that yet, but that'd still be a Protean Greninja later) I'd be fine with people choosing their own abilities. Also, the random aspect makes it more fun.

For the explicit purpose of being 100% pedantic, High Abilities such as Protean can only be acquired after level 40.
Anyway, any word from Garren? I'm drifting towards playing a debuffer right now, although I'm really tempted to pick up something with Aromatherapy just for quality of life purposes.
(Also kind of tempted to play Natu and try and wreck things with Stored Power but I'll abstain because it would be entirely power-gaming and I don't even know the system all that well.)

Also I have decided to allow mega evolution because the encounter generator also has the things for it, so if your species can mega evolve, great. I'll check to see if ORAS tho ORAS megas included. If that factors into your choice, let it. I do, however, consider any MEGA in the Smogon Ubers tiers off-limits unless you ditch your egg move.

And I do plan to release the world stuff tonight. With that out, I hope for you all to give me some character backstories with your characters.
