Lomendil does his best to remember what the carriage looks like and then returns to Norston:

The other one got away, I think this one is just a messenger for him but let's question anyway.

Unsure if Lomendil is close enough to see any hand signs, Norston instead settles for just maintaining his usual look and asking a question. He wondered if to lure Davorin elsewhere. "The body we found was in bad shape by the time we found it. As far as we can tell it was female, human, maybe half-elven, with brown hair. Can you think of anyone along these lines?"

Davorin shakes his head "Not really, I see so many different people on my runs, that no one sticks out unless they tip big."He chuckles "If that's it I need to get going."

As Lomendil returns, he spots Davorin still talking to Norston. He approached quietly and elected not to enter the conversation till he understood Norston's plan.

Norston raised his head acting like he was going to ask for something, but then continuing on as if he forgot it. He really was attempting to catch in a reflection if Lomendil was back. "Should keep a journal of things I mean to ask. Momma was right about all that rough play damaging my head,"

He shakes his head, "Ah, hell. But do need to run through what you remember that day. Will be stopping by Demon's Run later. Perhaps I'll buy you a drink and we can talk it through?" As he asked he walked the fingers of his left hand up his back hoping Lomendil was close enough to see.

Are you planning to head out and leave now? If so, just use the word "walk" in a sentence. IF you want me to approach, just use the word, "Arrive". I am just coming back, as it is.

Lomendil stops for a moment at the bar while messaging Norston and requests a glass of wine.

"I'll just have to remember everything for when that time arrives," Norston said using one of the key words Lomendil gave him. He was not certain what his friend could say, but it had to be better than his current lousy attempt.

I am sorry for the confusion sir. If you remember anything else about that day, please let us know and as my companion said we will probably come over later to get you a drink to make up for the inconvenience.

Lomendil arrives and quietly addresses the runner while he prepares to leave while looking around the bar to see who else appears to have noticed the man. After the runner leaves, he flags down one of the waiters: Excuse me sir, was that one of the Merakesh family here a minute ago? He looked vaguely familiar but I couldn't place him.

The waiter looks at Lomendil and speaks "It's likely, a number of the Merakesh family dine here from time to time."

I had not realized this location was so popular. My thanks good sir.

He heads over to where Norston is and says, it looks like we are unlikely to have any more luck here I suspect than elsewhere so far. Let's go outside to clearer air.

GM : No

"Didn't I hear you order something?" Norston asked. He shrugged, "It's not like we're in a rush to track someone down... Though I guess we could have sent a message Mirella's way. Too late now," He shrugs and let's things go as they are.

But not before whispering, "Makes sense Marekesh is in on this somehow. One of the most noted families in the city and family business franchise. Hope Davorin knows more and we can work it out of him without maiming or killing him. A few someone's can connect us to him now,"

"Though I do want to get this passed along who am I to deny you your meal? A few minutes and we can see who is going this as well," Norston said hoping this other elf could guess the hidden meaning of his message.

Lomendil turned back and said, "In that case, sir could you bring us two of your special rather than just one?

He then headed back to the table and sat down where he could watch the entrance. Whatever reason Norston had for wanting them to wait, he suspected it had to do with either learning from the persons there or observing them.

As you all sit down a large group walks into the Kismet Cantina. The group is composed of the mayor along with a few others. The head waiter takes them over to their own table. Everyone's eyes follow the group before returning to their tables and business.

GM: Need both of you to make a Perception check please

"Well this isn't what I expected to follow us in here," Norston said in a whisper. He sometimes questioned whether the government of the town was truely necessary, but could not say all laws were bad. He just happened to not follow a good number of them due to his trade.

He quieted his breathing as to try and listen to the mayor's crowd.

Lomendil had just sat down when the group entered but upon seeing them he almost rose from his chair again.

Nor is that who I expected here.

He still had some fairly serious grudges against several members of the local government and watch and the mayor was definitely on that list, although currently untouchable. As it was, he did his best to identify who was in the group and if anything appeared to be amis.

GM: you can see that the following are with the mayor : Marcos Marakesh , Lady Amelia Ridgeway and someone who you don't recognize, but you get the impression that they are very important due to how the others act towards him. The unknown man looks to be a high elf,with black hair and grey eyes.

Lomendil over hears Marcos say to the Mayor, "I thought my brother was going to be here, but I don't see him. He must have had some emergency business to deal with. I can handle the numbers in any case."
