Every so often I feel the need to come back and reexamine this and I wanted to bump it as a reminder to do that at some point.

So, sort of spinning out of the discussion of the concentration we may or may not have of wizards vs the more spiritual side of things (and because I was bored)... I decided to do a creature type lining of all our walkers! Or at least my walkers. My active walkers, not the weird limbo walkers.
... and no, that does not mean there are a bunch of walkers out there shimmying under a stick. We are not going there. We are above that. (requisite "how low can you go" joke)

Anyways!
Spoiler

Cool. I tried to do this with mine, but most of them either didn't work out well, or were just sort of boring. Yours worked out better.

I have WEIRD creature types on mine...
Part of it was that I really did want to see if I could break up the prevalence of wizard, which is why some, like Alessa, ended up with spellshaper.

You know what creature type would be great for the Duchess?

Lord.

>:C #neverlettingitgo

Kirsh is clearly a Bird Mystic Cleric. And that's about it for characters I've created!

I, also, wish "Lord" were still a thing, if for no other reason than making Kahr a little easier to card type. As it is, I suppose he's a Human Wizard Warrior, or perhaps a Human God Wizard Warrior...

Oh, hey this looks fun.

Spoiler

Man, Aloise's creature type is... sort of hard to come up with. Like, maybe just human? There could be benefits to simplicity and "artificer" is such a loaded term...

I had a similar problem with some of mine. What's Denner? A Delver? That's not a creature type. Kahr's a battlemage, not a creature type. Syl and Chardis are both Wizards, I guess, though also artificers and enchanters, and Chardis is a warrior to boot. Daneera would probably be a ranger, but that's not a thing anymore...for some reason. Antine hasn't really found a profession yet, Donagut's a Detector, and Nasperge is a Magician and a Fortuneteller.

Clearly, Wizards needs more Class...es.

"Explorer" isn't a type, yet. But it should be.

I can just tell I'm going to be so bad at these...

I'm going to make types up where I need them, and no one can stop me!

Beryl: Human Enchantress
Astria: Human Advisor

Jackie: Human Demon Rogue
Trotter: Fox Dancer

Gale: Human Sailor

Tryst: Devil Advisor

Explorer would be covered by the "Scout" type (as would, in most respects, Ranger)
Quote:
Beryl: Human Enchantress
According to the type line, enchantress would be covered as a... Druid?!. So... I think we can all agree she's probably more of an Wizard then....
Quote:
Trotter: Fox Dancer
Closest match I can come up with, strangely, is Advisor
Quote:
Gale: Human Sailor
Sorry mate, Gale be a pirate to the creature typing.
Quote:
Tryst: Devil Advisor
I feel Tryst would be entitled to have a new type for her, since she's... not fully a devil.

As to Fisco... why not zoidbergMONGER?

So monger is still a creature type but townsfolk and enchantress are not.

God it's been YEARS and I still find new reasons to hate the Great Creature Type Update. Always more reasons to be mad.

Hey. Hey Keeper.
They got rid of Lord but then stuck Praetor in.
Also, as to not forget, Bringer, Volver, Mystic, and Nomad.

Actually there is NO reason not to support nomad and mystic. Which is as good an opportunity to say I find Kirsh a bit weird since Mystic and Cleric are kind of at cross odds.

I'd be very in favor of that and I see no real reason not to do it, actually.

Gruff would just be Goblin. Part of his character development should be getting a class.
