I have no idea what you're talking about I'm afraid. Probably something to do with doors that should remain shut like coffins and the dead's phobia of being turned into skeleton keys.

The front cover of the book "The Archived" has a massive key on the front as one of the primary imageries. The book for Geist: the Sin-Eaters is basically covered in keys, and is the defining icon for the splatbook. They both deal with individuals laying the dead to rest, although with some differences.

My secondary instinct would be to say there's an attempt at marketing derivations following the success of Lock and Key (graphic novel series--very good).

Mostly I think the images are simple and evocative without being specific, which is great for book designers who only read the metadata of the books they design. It's also possible the similarities have more to do with your tastes as a consumer than their parallels from a cover designer perspective, so maybe some amount of introspection would be necessary to achieve a 100% answer on this one.

What's the most exciting show of next season's anime lineup?

Um............ I actually have really fallen behind on my anime watching. Probably Tokyo Ghoul, Studio: Shaft (if you're into that whole series, I am), and Durarara!!! just off the top of my head. I tend to check out the first few episodes of the romances, comedies, and mecha anima just because some are really good but most are awful, so I won't have an actual idea until mid-January or Feb.

Currently watching Rage of Bahamut bc it's just gorgeous and the anime about the pianist because, while a little over-the-top/melodramatic, it hits home to me as I used to be a classical clarinetist and love the music.

Not sure what you meant with Studio: Shaft, and "that whole series". Did you mean monogatari? I mean, I guess it's more or less Studio: Shaft the anime, although tsukimonogatari has already aired by now (and it was good).

Yeah I meant the entire monogatari catalogue. The animation and narrative is just really interesting and well done imo.
