Is Kingdom Hearts 2 worth getting if I liked the first one but only for the world and literally for none of the combat mechanics whatsoever?

This is a tough one, because KH is one of my all-time favorite RPGs. I like it for the story, the Disney worlds, AND the combat... but I know people who've played both and enjoyed KH2 immensely even if they didn't like combat to the point of handing me the controller whenever they could. Plus they're coming out with something soon that I think collects a lot of the KHs AND they're working on a KH3, so some KH should be worth pursuing in the near future regardless.

To step a little on Rstnme's toes here; yes get it. If you liked the world and the setting it's pretty much more of the same and while it wasn't a selling point for you the mechanics in general are much smoother in number two. Basically 2 is better than 1 in almost every conceivable way.

Not my place to answer, but if other people are already getting in on rstnme's game, then I may as well ignore everything I typed before that first comma.
Watch Arrested Development.

The 1st ep of Fate/Zero is dope. The series is OK.

Arrested Development has fans.

Personally, I'm revisiting Battlestar Galactica.

What is free will and do you think that you have it?

Free Will as a noun is a concept defined as "the power of acting without the constraint of necessity or fate". It is also defined as "the ability to act at one's own discretion". A third definition, if we treat it as an adjective phrase, is "given readily; voluntarily".

If you are talking about definitions 2 or 3, then yeah. Of course. If you are talking about the first, then that is a philosophical question where the answer is either yes or there is no answer because the question doesn't matter.

I believe we should act as though we have free will. If we do, we're acting on correct information, and if we don't, it won't matter.

free will is defined by your ability to give objects monetary value

Free will is posting your advice in someone else's advice thread.

I think we're all flesh-robots running regularly-updated software based on stimuli and poor inherited design.

Hmm, here's one that seems to get argued endlessly in my gaming group.

Who's the better detective, Batman or Sherlock Holmes?

Sherlock, no contest. Dude can look at someone walking down the street through a window and discern their occupation, that they fought in the war, that they're left-handed, recently divorced, and have an old injury in their left leg based on their gate. Batman looks at someone walking down the street and thinks, "If they try anything I'm gonna punch 'em." The fact is, if you read Sherlock, he almost always has the story solved right in the beginning, and most of what follows is simply gathering evidence to prove his theory; it's part of the conceit that keeps the reader reading--Holmes knows what we do not know but we want to know it so he shows us through what we perceive as very loosely tied or random associated clues/actions/investigation.
