Perfect originality is overrated and often ugly. The best and most beautiful cards I've ever seen were clearly inspired by something else. Cards are not entirely unlike living organisms in this regard. All the good ones are a result of long evolution; the 'original' ones are either mono-cellular or mutant aberrations.

Grades: PeregrineV Elegance: 25/25 There is an interesting tension between sunburst and domain, in that sunburst is easier to obtain through artificial means, but domain requires the natural rainbow. Balance: 4/5 I'm pretty sure a 10/10 on turn 5 is insane, but to cast such a creature, the mana mix is rather hard to obtain. Nevertheless, I'm pretty sure it's possible with green land fetching, and perhaps earlier than turn 5 at that. Ice-cream-hat-on-a-pug-ness: 4/5 see below Follows criteria: 1/5 It's almost the same ability, so the synergy is almost non-existent. like "Scry 2, then look at the top two cards of your libary." Flavor: 2/5 Not much there, other than a reference to the Etched Oracle Total: 36/45

I did see synergy, and that synergy allows a possible 10/10 on turn 5, esp. if you were to build it with that specific purpose in mind. And it's not too bad considering you can get that on turn 3 currently using only one color.
Okay, I see that the criterion wasn't clear. I mean, make a creature whose mechanics depend on it being a certain power and toughness. For instance the mechanics don't work together if it is a 3/3 instead of a 2/2. Due to the confusion over what I was asking for, this round will end on 10/31/13
