Yes, but not so quickly after this thread was created. The idea would be to exploit a specific schism or to be contrarian in nature, and at the moment this thread is still wallowing in nascence and thus difficult to juxtapose in any way beyond the initial spoof, at which point you'd come across as derivative.

What is the sound of one hand clapping?

Why did midichlorians have to be a thing?

How many years should it take for the Sahara to cover all of northern Africa?

Are puns funny?

Why did people start using christmas lights on the outside of their houses?

What is blue? Not a definition of the color blue? I mean, what makes the actual color blue, blue?

What is the meaning behind the phrase "cloud nine". Like how did the phrase "I'm on cloud nine originate"?

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsipop?

Why has the forum posting games subforum died? Will it ever not be dead?

How in the Nine Hells did you decide on your unpronounceable screenname?

Because nerds are inherent tunnelers, and when they focus on one thing, they cannot be satisfied until they reach its end. Additionally, Star Wars is a magical science-fiction universe, and midi-chlorians might have been a (feeble) attempt to infuse the universe with real "science."

mjack33 wrote:

Desertification does not occur linearly, much like all climate/weather conditions. Given this, and that it can be combated by science, by irrigation and adding vegetation to the landscape, it is doubtful if the Sahara's eventual conquering of Northern Africa will happen at all.

Not if you have to ass.

mjack33 wrote:

Christmas lights, originally called fairy lights, date back to an 18th-century German tradition of using candles to decorate trees during the holiday season.

Color is created when an object reflects wavelenghts of light. Things are usually blue because they hate blue and want to fling the very idea of blue in your face, though by doing so they appear, then, to be blue.

There are 10 types of clouds, and the 9th type is the highest. Being high is a good thing, purportedly.

None, bc hammers obvi.

Probably not. When NGA declared my "Let's Make a Sandwich" thread a gaming thread and then moved it to another subforum, they inevitably caused me to curse the entire forum, to sap the joy out of it. (trappedslider is a harbinger of the NGA apocalypse, for example.) The other explanation is that NGA is too specialized; people generally only go to their respective interests and then pop into the Off Topic Room to see what's going down. The number of subforums has the benefit of consolidating similar content, but Website Design 101 shows the more clicks a user has to do to access content the less likely they'll access that content.

America, hands down. We produce the most beer, the most variety of beers, and regularly win beer competitions around the globe. We're innovative, aggressively flavored/hopped, and "pushing the envelope" so to speak on brews and particularly microbreweries.

The caveat is that our beer culture is just horrible compared to Germany or Belgium or even Canada. Budweiser is our main export. It's a damn shame.

Rest-In-Me. Originally created as my username in N64 Mario Kart. Due to character limitations, I had to be selective in which vowels I used. Additionally, I enjoy the hidden phonetic "enemy" within the n-m-e, as well as the structural similarities to Wheel of Fortune's "RSTLNE" given letters to contestants in a final rounds. (I'm a writer. I like words.)

I will defer to mjack on this because I know diddly about YuGiOh except that it's an immortal format.
