I am actually debating on cutting the sphinx wand all together and two other cuts for the 3 ground assualts. I think if I added simply ONE forest, ground assualt would be a GREAT addition here.

I was right. Ground assualt is a GREAT addition. This deck wins a LOT but be ready for LONG games. Most of the opponents will quit.

I just found this site. I have been using the following control deck. I think it is very consistent with its pulls. There isn't a great win condition for control decks, but I am a fan of Obelisk of Alara.

3 x Wall of Omens
1 x Baneslayer Angerl
1 x Angelic Edict
2 x Planar Cleansing

3 x Voyage's End
4 x Think Twice
3 x Dissolve
4 x Intuition
1 x Time Warp

1 x Banefire
3 x Shock
2 x Anger of the Gods
1 x Charmbreaker Devils

3 x Darksteel Ingot
1 x Obelisk of Alara
1 x Sphinx-Bone Wand
1 x Kozilek, Butcher of Truth

1 x Treasure Find

4 x Plains
5 x Island
4 x Mountain
3 x Crumbling Necropolis
3 x Seaside Citadel
2 x Azorius Guildgate
3 x Izzet Guildgate

As with any control deck the goal is to stall the early game and win with card advantage before dropping the kill card. It is very similar to a previous deck on this thread.

I just wanted to post what I was using to see if anyone wanted some input or to give it a try.

Greetings everyone! New to the forums. Anyway, I wanted to share my take on Jeskai Control in Duels 2015. Excluding the expansion cards, I've been running this deck from the beginning, and it's been strong the entire time. The expansion only made it even stronger. Traumatic Visions is a card I want in KTK Standard! Love that card. Resounding Thunder is another all-star. On the other side, Reprisal's very meh but feels like a necessary evil. There are plenty of times when it's dead in hand. However, when I need it, I really need it. :) So, it continues to have a place in the 60. Well, happy holidays for anyone celebrating!

So the other day I got paired against Xbox user Imemoria. Guildgate, Island, Counterspell, ok it's going to be one of THOSE games.

90 minutes later, I somehow escaped the game with a win, but not my sanity.

By then all of his mana was on the board, so I should have just written it down, but I took my best stab at it. Pretty sure the numbers on the spells are correct, since I watched the deck cycle through several times. Zero wincons, unless you count Thassa's Bounty, which you shouldn't.

imemoria used to post on the mothership and was one of the top-ranked players on the Xbox leaderboards. I guess this is his take on a "mill" deck. Save an Edict for opposing Kozileks and just troll them until they run out of cards.

I could never do it.

Yeah, fortunately I figured out what was going on in time and never cast Kozilek, only discarded to hand size. It was the grind of all grinds.

After seeing this deck I had to try it out. If you love shutting down your opponents for an hour per game, and also love being called every name in the book then this is the deck for you. I got more death threats in 3 games with this deck than I did the entire time I played my land destruction deck for 2 weeks straight.

I went 3-0, but will probably never play this deck again. This deck can counter everything except the sheer boredom that comes from playing this deck!

HAHA. Interesting. Is your land destruction deck good? Where is it? I haven't found something built around land destruction as a REAL strategy yet. I did a Temur build that was surprisingly successful that had a minor land destruction theme but that wasn't what it was really attempting to do.

Looks exactly like a deck i have with some differences:

-4 Courier's Capsule
+4 Think Twice

-2 Thassa's Bounty
+2 Banefire

-2 Angelic Edict
-1 Elixir of Immortality
+3 Reprisal

And yes, its an extremely long and boring deck, I got my inspiration for that from Ivan Floch's 2015 Pro Tour Championship deck:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8vq7GxCg2o

Nuke the board, cycle your deck and then bore your opponents to death. Lol!

I think Courier's Capsule over Think Twice is correct in a deck that wants to recycle itself because you don't lose it to exile. If you want to reshuffle Think Twice, you only get one card instead of two.

I vaguely considered picking it up for a game out of morbid curiosity, but couldn't quite bring myself to. Thanks for taking the bullet!

I was thinking the same thing after looking at them both.

I would delete the game after playing against that.

I started playing with this deck after seeing it here and it quickly became one of my favorites. I just switched a few things around.

- 2 Angelic Edict
- 1 Negate
- 1 Nullify

+ 2 Vapor Snag
+ 1 Kozilek
+ 1 Banefire (Testing)

Normally, I'd discard the Angelic Edicts so I don't really miss them much as I still seem to be holding on to one, Vapor Snags seem to work pretty well and proved extra protection for Kozilek or the Walls. I kinda want to mess around with the lands a little bit, but it seems to be fine, but there are times when I don't have double red for Anger soon enough. I added the Kozilek, just to speed it up a bit.

Just seems like an awesome deck and I have gotten messages because of it.

This deck does win a LOT. It is really unfortunate though that the game crashes so much.. many times game crashes before the match ends..
