Mirella listens in before interjecting, "Goggles, ey? Did you notice anything else about the way he was dressed? Perhaps he's a coachman or an alchemist..."

"Well, he had a bag or satchel. Short leather coat, black military style boots."

"I'm sure he does, I just don't know the name of it. "

Lomendil carefully checked his cloak before coming downstairs to make sure it properly covered his arms. He then descended to the common room and quickly spotted the other personnel where they were questioning the girl. As he came up he heard a little of the conversation and stood back, quietly watching and laughing slightly. He then walked up to Norston, tapped him on the shoulder and said: Marcus sends his regards.

All of these vague clues were beginning to eat away at Norston's confidence of finishing the job. That and now Marcus had taken, then added a member to their party. Probably a touch of the one giving them the job wanting to keep tabs on them.

"We'll get to introductions later," he said with a nod towards the elf.

Turning back to Saria he said, "Perhaps you can tell us which courier services not to bother with?"

"You might want to check with Broomies...they are have the most workers and then there's Swiftyfoot."

"You've been quite helpful," she says not really believing it. You looks to the elf and sighs, "It would seem our work has been...less than adequate... for Marcus to send us a nanny. Very well, let's amble off to wherever these courier places may be. Keep our eyes out for these initials that just fell into our laps."

Saria looks at the three of them and puts forth her hand and says "That'll be 5 copper please."

He was tempted to berate Mirella for mentioning the nanny line, but did not feel it was worth it to extend the point, or draw away from the lady asking for a few coins. While he did think she was being a bit oppertunistic, he could not say he would not do the same in her shoes.

Norston responded by counting out a few brown coins to hand to her. As he handed them over he wondered just as to why she wasn't making a few pockets lighter or why he could not slip her a few of her own, besides the risk of getting caught. "If you start another place, I may just stop by,"

Once on their way out and out of earshot of any patrons of Demon's Run Norston turned his head to Mirella and growled, "Was that last bit necessary?"

"Should have been more specific," Norston said with a shrug, half forgetting the order things were said. At least some insight into his fellow investigator came with it. "But I was talking, nanny,"

"Forgive me if I don't have my second language down. But yeah, that," Norston turns to Lomendil and asks, "So what's the deal? Joining us as a way of doing a favor for Marcus? Or are you like us looking for guild status?"

I am also looking to join. I have helped on a few odd jobs in the past but my sponsor seemed to think that I needed to actually get dirty rather than sitting in the back room looking for clues.

As he walked out, Lomendil tried to remember what if anything he knew about the major Courier Services in this city and the politics surrounding them.
