You reap what you sow.

In other news, my desperation has reached new levels as I'm now watching show seemingly only for voice actors.
Oh well. ef turned out to be rather enjoyable anyway, although it didn't really deliver the emotional impact it tried to.

Should watch more movies.

Summer Wars - It took me a while to realize that the story is a total rip-off of a Digimon movie, but it's executed in a way such that it actually means something.
Millennium Actress
Anything by Miyazaki you haven't watched yet.
Kara no Kyoukai series

Oh, I have actually watched everything Kara no Kyoukai, but there really isn't anything about it that appealed to me. I suppose I forget.
Ghibli doesn't really seem to be my thing either, although I suppose I could try another one at some point.

I'll be curious to hear what you think of AoT when you get to the "end" (the end of season 2, at least).

I read the manga as well so I know what happens after that lol

I remember doing that. It's how I learned about Dog Days.

Anyone watched Mardock Scramble?

And waiting for that new inspector in Psycho Pass to break down and cry and whatever.

Simultaneous question: I've been looking through the op of the other thread, and there is a ton of good music. Which got me to wondering, what is your favorite song you've heard in an anime? It does not have to be from your favorite anime.

Unmei no Farfalla from Steins;Gate.

I just said as much since his list was really short, but I haven't really watched any animated film that isn't, like, so famous everyone knows about it.

Oh, so I take it you like the series? Or at least that it ends up better than the anime at it is currently? I'm given to understand the manga managed a better cinematographic job than the anime did in many instances. I don't actually like the show.

Favorite song from an anime? Lemme check my music...

I apologize in advance for any butchering of band or track names; I'm mostly recalling this off the top of my head since I don't have a whole lot of anime songs.

Well, it's hard for me to nail down anything as my "absolute favorite" in any list, but I of course have my standouts:
I love me some Yoko Kanno and the Seatbelts (of Cowboy Bebop fame), and Origa (of the GitS series). I love the Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt OST, though I don't know the names behind that one so well. I liked a decent number of openers and enders from Eureka Seven, Sakura by Nirgilis being top among them. I've heard a few different songs from both UVERworld and L'Arc En Ciel from different anime and I liked every one I've heard. I want to say I like the Pillows, but really it's mostly just nostalgia over the FLCL soundtrack.

Oh nah, was just asking since you brought up movies. Curious though, does the local cinemas near you guys screen anime movies?

The first season end credits theme for FMA:B and both the opening and ending credit themes from Kino No Tabi are my favorites.

Question: Should I be excited or depressed that this has less views than the other thread?

It's not really that big a difference. It's only a 5% difference in views. I wouldn't call it statistically significant.

So, is anyone watching Sword Art Online II? I decided to the other day and have so far made it up to episode 8 IIRC. I had forgotten how much I like Crunchyroll is as a streaming source.

I'm watching it.
Kirito throwing Excaliber was a really dumb scene, although I've been led to believe there's actually a poorly explained reason behind it.

I will probably laugh as much as I have been (or more) when I get to that point. I don't recall which thread I said it in, but SAO2 is so hilariously bad that it's making me question how good the first season (which I had really liked) really was.

He didn't have ownership over it, so he couldn't take it out of the dungeon area with him. Or at least I think that was the explanation. It's really unclear in the anime, but they make it clearer in the novel.

I count GGO as my least favorite arc from SAO, so I wasn't expecting much from it. But I do expect Mother's Rosario to be good.

I heard on /a/ that in Arthur's story, he throws the sword into the lake in the end or something like that. I don't know if it's true, but at least then there is some precedence.
But in the context of the show, the sequence made no sense.

On another note, Hatoko's rant in Trigger's new show was pretty cool, possibly one of my favorite scenes in anime.

I do love how Kirito manages to be the most badass character in a story he's not even the main character of.

Ushinawareta Mirai wo Motomete is shaping up better than expected.
I seem to remember more or less skipping through the game in its entirety, but I kinda want to give it another try now.

I groaned a little at the end of last episode.
I'm not sure if I'm ready for the drama between Asuna and her mom. Their interactions makes me feel really uncomfortable, restless kind of.

More or less binge watched Magi this week. Should possibly pick up the manga, given that the story didn't go far enough to give me closure on the only thing I cared about.
