It looks like my hiding took place at the same time as Corinne's searching. I am waiting for the new round to be declared before I post IC right now.

We'll keep the rough order as is for now. I feel like in PBP, it's really slow for players who want to post to sometimes have to wait a couple days at times to post only because they're waiting for other players. As long as the bad guys go at their proper time, I'll usually house rule that if other players happen to post before others when I check a day later, they can act. If it's been two days, I'll assume a player at a higher order is delaying. In any case Maulim's will be acting, along with everyone else, before the dwarves do.

So what Maulim is doing, is taking a round to climb the ladder and stand just below the trapdoor with a loaded crossbow and a quiver of bolts he just grabbed off the wall.
If needed, stealth to not knock anything over/be noisy while doing so. 17
At this point he would prefer not to be seen, but is not too particular about that since only the wolf rider would seem to be looking right now. That will matter more next round and he should have a solution for that.

Corinne has posted... Others feel free to post actions. The two dwarfs at the other towers have acted (out of sight) and the guy on the wolf made his attack action as a grab and moved to the middle.

Well, looks like Maulim will be pretty lonesome when he acts at the top of next round. Oh well.

Well, my original intention had been to try to peer out of the trap door first but oh well. Also it looks like he is already dealt with. Incidentally, are there any weapons up there with him and is his crossbow unloaded or loaded? I know mine is loaded, but I would like to know if his spear was up there and if he appears to have any weapons in his reach.

Also, can the guards below see me or not? Specifically have they exited the gate yet or are they still in the courtyard? Just trying to sort out my best move.

Sorry, I was afraid you'd be two rounds behind...I figured your next move would've been topside anyways, but if you prefer to stay below or enter the courtyard I can make it work in the narrative (consider yourself halted for the movement if that's the case).

I'd say that no one is looking at you.nnbetween the three women leaping to the bridge, the caster who vanished, and the riders struggles, no one is observing you. They're in the courtyard still.

Do you mean that I am out of sync? If so put me in holding. If not, how long is the bridge? 50Ft? 80?

In case you want a deception check for his taunts: 14
What he is trying to map out is how hard it will be to descend from the tower to the gate and if he can see the very base of the wall there from here. I don't know if this would be perception or Int but the modifiers are +3 and +2 respectively.

As mentioned to Corinne and in the spoiler section, the wall from the tower hangs over the bridge. "Corinne may, In this round, make a descent to the bridge or, if she wishes to for some reason, the courtyard. The fall is ten feet but a successful DC 10 athletics will negate the damage with a roll, and a 15 will end up with a landing on one's feet. Of course, a roll under 5 could put one perilously close to the chasm on either side of the bridge. If anyone spends a precious round, they can dangle and drop safely with a DC 5 strength check, but the rider is only 30 feet away"

As for the bridge length, recall:
"From up here, Corinne can see over the other side of the wall. It becomes clear now why it is only 10 feet tall. The wall is perched over a great yawning chasm of immeasurable depth and about 100 feet across. A single arch of stone crosses this span from the shattered front gate across to another ledge. Standing on the far side is a single humanoid figure with some sort of squat rod or spear in his hand..."

Yup, I will have to reread threads more carefully before posting questions.

Also, it seems the dwarves are more concerned with the others who are fleeing then with me right now. What can I say, Christmas came early for one good little half-elf?

Guess so... But maybe not if the rider and his pet get between you and your pals... He almost gives off an aura of fear and radiates power. (Which also says something about the power if the mysterious rag man)

So another question for Garren. Can my signature link be tied to the last post of a thread?

Yes but you'd have to update it manually each time a new post is made. At the top of each post you will see 'Post Subject: Whatever' Click that, copy the URL and stick that in you signature. But like I said it would require you to update it manually every time a new post is made.

At this point, to avoid confusion feel free to post whenever you want, one turn following each description of the NPCs. Standard initiative combat can be slow on PBP. If we get to the point where you are fighting as a team, we can strategize here...ie "I wait for my ally to strike so I can gain combat advantage" or "I wait for the haste spell before launching into the fray."

Is the dwarf close enough to Corinne that she can move and attack it this turn?
