What do I need to know to join the campaign?

What does the party needs? I have a cleric, that works as a blaster, that I can reshape, but I have an idea for a cleric, that works more like thief, at least in terms of skills and with mind reading powers.

well you need to read up on the setting, currently the PCs are looking around the pile of debris that used to be The Gilded Club, a brothel owned by The Angelic Shadows which was burned down a day before the game starts. The PCs have been tasked to look into it. If they do a good job and don't bring shame to the guild they pass the trial and become full members in good standing, but if they fail, then they are kicked out of the guild at the very least.

How strongly these rules are enforced and how they are enforced?

- Only light weapons and and light armor is allowed on the streets unless you are a member of the city guard or have a special permit.

Do I have one? How do I acquire one?

- No spells are allowed to be cast without special permits.

Same questions from the first statement. What type of spells are allowed? Any spells: magical and clerical spells?

Very strongly..the punishment runs from a simple fine all the way up to getting put in jail for a time.....as for who you get the permit for the weapons and armor, go to the justice ministry and pick up the paper work and pay the fee, and if it gets approved then you get the permit, as for the spells, same deal. Currently, the only folks who have permits are associated with the city government and the churches. As for what type of spells unless you say why you need to cast fireball when you aren't associated with any of the previously mentioned groups it's unlikely that you will get approved, but if you were applying for and listed only cure type spells then you'd be more likely to get the permit. But remember there's a good side to being with the guild as in the can make the grease that helps the wheels spin....

I get my starting equipment as normal, and a lighter version for free? Or I am forced to buy a lighter version in the beginning?

Another question can I make a character with multiple personalities, with one personality having a complete different background and alignment than the other. Or better yet, a body stealing character that habits the same body from other character, that lived for more than a millennium.

I am tentatively interested but will see what I get before I sort out classes etc. Also, a question concerning spells: How concerned are they about non-damaging say cantrips like Guidance or Mending etc?

Wow, I will need to think about how to build off of those scores, a 4 will really define my character.

Uck..and that is WHY is like point buy...plus, it always sucks to stand next to the guy with two 18's while you're hitting a lot less often

I will have to check on what your alignments allowed are. I am tentatively roughing out a High Elven Rogue. Please let me know what you think of the dump stat and weak stat I chose. I had considered swapping them but think this will work. I did have one question, as both Rogue and Criminal give proficiency Thieves Tools, can I substitute one of them for a different tool proficiency or an additional language? IF you want to choose it, by all means. This is only a rough sketch but I think I know some of what he is now.

I am inclined towards the extra language if you want to go with that one and we will have to sort out if there is a "caching" system. Basically, due to his low carrying capacity and fear of getting caught, he will not carry most things with him. Let me know where you want me to put his backstory as I have some of it worked out.

No evil alignments so LG,CG,CN,N are allowed....based on your character i'm going to go with a different tool rather than a language..i'll trust you to choose which tool proficiency

I think I will take proficiency in Forgery Kit as the last proficiency. I am going to retool him a little so he is less vengeance oriented and more safety oriented as per Genghis but I think he is mostly ready for use. I will probably double check it tomorrow.

He tended to work indoors helping interrogate and figuring out puzzles. He has been told to help on this investigation partly as a test to see how he does on the actual streets and partly to help out since one of those working on it was unfortunately unable to continue.
