Courier is pretty cool idea. Possibility? -

Courier X (Exile the top card of your library. If it is a nonland card, put X time counters on this creature. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a time counter from this creature. When the last time counter is removed, you may cast the exiled card during that turn as if it were in your hand but without paying its normal mana cost.)

Kill the courier in time, stop the message/spell being delivered/cast. Getting the X balance right probably tricky though.

Courier could just allow you to put the card on top or on the bottom of your library instead of drawing it, if there is a power level concern with it.

* Drunken Fist, backflip, dodge, carwheel, something else silly.

Random choice seems like it would be a hassle to resolve and annoying to play with. It works on a single uncommon like Goblin Test Pilot, but I'm not sure you want a whole tribe of these guys. What if you just made it one-shot hexproof?

Other possibilities:

Trickery (When this creature becomes blocked, if you control an unblocked creature, you may have that creature be blocked by each creature blocking this creature and this creature becomes unblocked.)

Okay that might give people a headache.

Golden Fur (When this creature become the target of a spell of ability for the first time each turn, counter it and this gets +2/+2 until end of turn)

Scout (When this creature enters the battlefield or attacks you may discard a card. If you do, draw a card)

Okay the monkey keyword will be golden fur, will probably get a name change and will become a whatever the keywords with - are called with variable effects like landfall.

Bird mechanic will be Zen renamed meditate. All that is left is rats, turtles and rabbits.

When ~ enters the battlefield, rummage for an artifact. If you find one, exile it and draw a card. (To rummage, search each players graveyard)

Rat mechanic probably.
