You know what? To stop you just trying this until you roll decent want to just assume you rolled a 10 (for a total score of 13)?

Questions. Assuming that would be enough for Booker to brace others to climb up?
Would another stealth roll be needed for the climb?

Athletics would be required to climb the tunnel (with a much easier DC because of the rope).
Stealth would be required to make it up and behind cover without being seen.

If I were you I'd have my cleric cast that '+1d4 on next check' cantrip on everyone. No reason not to.

That does make sense...if Sandal felt like assisting. Also, he's not going to be very stealthy in his armour - or necessarily interested in climbing up the wall. Would it mean splitting the party?

Might it make sense to send a couple around toward the dam with Joab as eyes? Try deal with the three goblins there?

re-read the description Joab gave us. The three goblins are just before this other room with the fire. So not splitting things up too much...

You could send everyone up first but Sandal, have everyone launch an attack, and have Sandal spend his first turn ascending the rope?

That seems far too good an idea for it to go smoothly... :)

*cleric spends five turns rolling 1's on Athletics check while everyone needs healing*

haha its not as bad as it seems, I just got 3 terrible rolls in a row for simple stuff. Thankfully, since there wasn't imminent danger, Garren let me take a 10 on the roll for celerity's sake.

Joab would be more than happy to go around and cause a distraction to allow you guys to ambush. He can use mage hand or prestidigitation. Either should work.

Guys, stop trying to go to the dam. It's only going to cause us trouble. Let's climb this thing and attack. The order should be something like Argun -> Lee -> Vaeca -> Joab -> Sandal. That leaves the less stealthy characters to go last.

Also, splitting the party is a bad idea.

Sounds good to me. Will let the stealthy/fighters head up then Vaeca will follow.

And yeah. Splitting is a bad idea, just wanted to explore the possibilities and get feedback.

Just an FYI on the Guidance spell, it requires concentration for the duration, so *technically* it would need to be cast on one person at a time and then recast on the next person after the first person rolls their check.

In this case, I doubt it matters, but it might be an important distinction in the future.

This order works for me. Also, Joab is full of bad ideas. He needs a good ass kicking. Until the combat actually gets hairy he will ge worse.

You have got to be kidding me. My last 4 rolls were 1, 4, 3, 1.

don't forget about the 1d4 from Guidance. Might be enough to help Joab.

Also can someone do me a favour please. When my computer died I lost the pdf version of the PHB I had. Might someone be able to copy, either here or in a PM, a couple of the druid spells - Produce Flame, Thorn Whip and Entangle.

Ordering the PHB itself but have to wait until someone goes to the states next week.

I copied all my spells to my mythweavers sheet for me to have easy access to them. I even formatted them differently for clarification.
