Bc this forum is basically dead without him. Any updates? Outside info? Is he OK?

I don't, but I do recall him saying that he was having some internet issues just before him being gone. I can't imagine that lasting for a month though, which is when he signed on last (Sept 13th).

Yeah, I'm worried about him too. Forum drafts were one of my favorite things here. Does anyone know how he actually did them?

I wish. I'd run some if I could figure it out. Only way I ever did it was with a giant spreadsheet.

Sad to here Greven's not present. His contributions to NGA are/were enormous. I didn't pop over here often, but when I did I enjoyed his drafts quite a bit.
Pretty sure he mentioned at some point that he actually drafted for all the other "players" himself. I like to imagine he used real cards in carefully labelled piles, but a spreadsheet seems more likely.

*"To YMTC it up" means to design cards that have value mostly from a design perspective. i.e. you would put them in a case under glass in your living room and visitors could remark upon the wonderful design principles, with nobody ever worring if the cards are annoying/pointless/confusing in actual play

If he really did pick all the stuff himself, I'm amazed he ever managed to run more than one or two drafts at once.

I recall him once saying the other seven players were all real people and he emailed them their packs each day

Something along these lines is what I remember as well. I don't remember the e-mail part or every day part, but I do remember that its 7 of his friends. I want to say that they opened actual packs for each draft.

I think he said he had a computer program that generated the packs
