Black Lagoon is hands down my favorite manga, but anime...
I've thought on this before and never came to a conclusion.
Rather, there wasn't a particular anime that made me go, "that's my favorite!"

I'll get back to you on the Motomete thing after I watch it.
I SHOULD have a better idea than most people, given I've played the VN.

Simultaneous question: I've been looking through the op of the other thread, and there is a ton of good music. Which got me to wondering, what is your favorite song you've heard in an anime? It does not have to be from your favorite anime.

Hard one.

On the serious side, I guess dubbed Neon Genesis Evangelion sans the episode(s) after Kaworu gets squished. I love the Angel & Eva designs & the setting. While Shinji can be a bit much at times, I love the characters.

On the less serious side, subbed Sc-ry-ed. Some fun characters, especially Straight Cougar. Interesting powers & implementation. I think this would be a cool supers setting for an rpg.

Seeing as I've been interrupted by a music question, the Ghost in the Shell: SAC opening Inner Universe by Origa.

Saturday Night Witches featuring Hideaki Matsuoka from Witch Craft Works
Ambient music from Kokoro Connect
Entire Madoka Magica soundtrack.
βios from Guilty Crown, or Attack on Titan from SnK.

Kokoro Connect, for being literally Forced Drama: the show. Also because I liked watching the characters unveil, and it passed the prominent male character aesthetics check.

Thoughts about Grisaia ep 1:

Skipped a few things, but pretty minor. They're using the music from the game, which I like.
I wasn't expecting them to go so far on the nakedness.
Yuuji sounds weird. As awkward as it sounds, he sounded better when he was all text and no voice.
Overall - didn't really like ep 1.

No actual videos with the music? Now I'm sad.

Cuz I'm sure yall don't know the SAC opener.

Those are some of the anime openings I listen to a lot. I also like most of the things done by Kajiura Yuki who does the .hack soundtrack and maybe the madoka one and some other stuff.

As for my favourite anime it is probably code geass although I couldn't really pinpoint why. I just like the narrative I guess.

This is the current anime I'm on. Opener's worth mentioning.

EP2:

"Tell me a story!"
"What kind of story do you want?"
"It's hot, so tell me a cool story."
"A cool story, huh? Well, at my last school, an upperclassman told me this story where..."

And I was looking forward to him actually telling the story, but he didn't. Rather saddening.
I kind of like his random mini-stories, which you realize later (in Le Labyrinthe) are things he himself actually experienced.

He also sounded a lot less awkward this episode compared to the last.
Not sure what the difference was.

I like how they include the chibi-scenes. Those are always fun.

Kiseijuu: Sei No Kakuritsu seems like the anime to watch out for. For this season for me at least.

I do not like the majority of characters in Black Bullet. There are a few decent ones in there, but it's like Another. The majority are just ...... not nice.

Ghost In the Shell arise is good...wish netflix would get the rest of it up

They're doing the Excaliber arc in SAO.
Pleasantly surprised, since most of us gave up on it being a thing when they skipped over it completely in ALO.
This probably means they're going to do Mother's Rosario, too.
Looking forward to it.
