This was a little project that snagged at the corner of my mind a while ago, but I mostly just let it kick around. You probably recognize it from the limited work we did before the bloody apocalypse, but it's back now.
This might look like a YMTC project, and to a degree that isn't an unfair assessment, but ultimately I feel this belongs in the flavor section far more prominently. You see, we've all had a chance to see the breadth of several walkers' abilities across a multitude of cards, but while some abilities capture their capabilities nicely, no suite on the card has managed to do so in the same fashion. With that in mind, I present to you the Flavoring, a project in which we take the cards apart and reassemble them to have a closer picture to the walker in question, including name and art on top of everything else.
About the only portions of this that won't involve the cards are the hypothetical loyalty and mana cost, which will be cut anew in response to their abilities and personality.
Before the archiving, we’d already managed to get Liliana out of the way. For those who don’t remember, what we ended up with was:
Liliana Vess
:2: Planeswalker-Liliana +1 Each player discards a card. -3: Target creature gets +X/+X or -X/-X until end of turn, where X is the number of Swamps you control. -8: Put all creature cards from all graveyards onto the battlefield under your control. 4 art
Garruk the Veil-Cursed
Veil-cursed's -1, Caller of Beast's -3, and Relentless's Wolf 0 7

Haha yeah I managed to figure it out after I posted but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate the help any less so thanks Raven!
Just so the post is thread relevant-I like that you are encouraged to play this Garruk in a green deck because of the -3 but even if because of his hybrid symbol if he is played in a mono black deck his wolves are still green and to use his -3 the black creature would have to be hybrid, so he'd never truly lose his green identity.
Yeah, it's a balance I wanted to work with very carefully. It was important to maintain his green identity because black isn't his choice.

Yeah. We'd started the non cursed version before the boardpocalypse, but the impending doom made the entire prospect less worth the effort.

You really didn't get what we were aiming for. I thought I was pretty clear with the first post too so...

I thought you were trying to make cards that more accurately reflected the character's lore and storyline capabilities?
We are... but using the abilities of their existing cards. This is all about dissecting the cards they've already made and reconstructing them into something that more accurately reflects their abilities, not just making new cards. Because in particular, Ajani isn't an auramancer, and that's the sort of flaw you end up running into trying to create new cards from whole cloth. People will have conflicting ideas about their capabilities. Narrow your resources and you don't run into that problem.
