Sandal is very different from other of my clerics, but with his background it makes sense him to be a more strict person. After all it is easier to find mistakes in others and himself when he thinks himself the paramount of righteousness. I have one cleric that is more a warrior than a cleric, with some paladin features. He would kill the goblin without blinking, he treats even half-orcs as beasts, but even him would not break a promise. The difference is that he would never promise anything to a goblin other than death.

I'm back guys! Hey quick question since it was brought up. Who actually has inspiration right now? I wasn't really paying attention to who has it. Figured I'd make a list so I don't double award it at some point or something.

Ah yes I understand now. Nah the goblin is already defeated. I'll just allow it.

Our character sheets have checkboxes for inspiration. Not sure if anyone is using them, though.

We do have a party member with darkvision if you guys want to get creative. I doubt there's any option that will let us sneak too far in their lair, though.

Joab has darkvision, but I honestly don't know if he is foolish enough to go into a goblin cave. He is feeling pretty bulletproof after the easy combat so far, though.

I'm not suggesting that he goes alone, if that's what you got from my comment. If you guys really don't want to use light, we can tie everyone and let Joab guide us in the dark. But I doubt that's going to take us anywhere.

Yeah, I don't think Booker would want to be tethered down.

How long does Blade Ward last if cast out of combat? Until the end of the first round? I could see Joab going for a quick look with Blade Ward on. He has +2 to stealth, so he can try to be sneaky about it.

Blade Ward would only last until the end of your turn. On the upside it's a cantrip so you could just recast it - though that would cause noise and whatnot.

Should I roll perception or anything else?

I'll give you a basic description of what you can see but a perception check may reveal additional information.

After knocking that poor goblin out I realised I could have had Vaeca try Charm him...but I hadn't prepared new spells anyway...would have made an interesting sidekick for a moment!
