*checks op in sig*

Why yes. Yes it does. Thank you a lot. This is one of those things I've wanted for a while but kept forgetting to ask for.

I want to put this in my sig.

Image

Since it's height is 120 and its width is 240, I should be able to do that. However I am using the height and width tags, so my tag looks like [img height=120 width=240]. For some reason or another, the signature box refuses to accept this, saying "Your images may only be up to 120 pixels high."

Am I doing something wrong, or if I'm not is this something I can request a fix on?

on a related note is there a way to turn off sigs for specific users?

Nothing that specific, no.

I guess that it's one side effect of putting someone on your Foe list, but that's all I can think of...

On a related note, I just want to check something.

You do realize that even with the image, my sig will be notably smaller than yours correct? And that you end every single post with :duel: ?

Aye, I can turn off sigs when people have repetitive moving and flashing images / smilies but there's no way for me to ignore the constant appearance of the moving stuff when someone is using it as a 'tagline'.

Worse yet, all to often you see situations where not only is a moving smilie posted constantly but then people start quoting it then people respond with quotes etc etc. Next thing you know you have 10 instances of the same annoying smile in as little as 5 or 6 posts. Hell the duel smilie appears five times in the last three posts and would have appeared six if Razor had not deleted part of a post he was quoting.... twice as many moving smilies as posts.

it's a much smaller moving piece. much like how Lily's animated sig isn't that disruptive because it's a small piece in a corner, whereas an image that is literally the size limit would be much more distracting.

it's also at this point about a nine-year tradition, so I'm sort of stuck with it anyway, even if I wanted to stop.

^And then theres things like that. Posts that could have easily been an edit, but instead warranted a second post with yet another instance of the smilie in question.

True, it is smaller, but unlike a sig where the moving image could be spoilered or turned off the duel smilie is part of the post itself and constantly in your vision while attempting to read said post or the one directly above or below it.

As far as Lily's sig not only is it much more subtle, tucked far into the corner on the right hand side of the screen instead of directly in the most viewed column of the page, but it too has the ease of being a sig that can be easily turned off.

Which doesnt at all change either how annoying it is or the frequency with with it appears.

As a side note though if we continue this conversation it could probably be better suited in its own thread.

yes, because we didn't just encounter an instance where someone editing instead of posting again caused a message to be lost.

honestly, this doesn't have to do with forum features, so it doesn't belong here. my original post was needlessly rude but on the other hand still a request for a feature. the ensuing discussion is not. if you'd like to continue it in an appropriate venue I'd be happy to, as I maintain that the difference in scale is intensely relevant, but I'm not going to keep discussing it here.

I have a request. I have created a whole bunch of icons; would it be possible to create a manacost fork that creates these icons?

The syntax I was thinking would be , where both the number or the symbol could be changed. In the sblock below I've included the list of icons and the text that the pw tag should convert it into.

Sure thing!

Spoiler

The syntax is not quite what you specified (0 -> +0, initial loyalty doesn't have the ='s), but it's for good reason. :)

2 things:
1. I had trouble using a Youtube tag to link to a video within a playlist. Is that a common problem or is it just this particular video?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEYzeSH ... xx&index=4

2. Maybe the Youtube and wiki tags should have emblems instead of just words on them?

1. Yep, that won't work.

2. Maaaaybe. No other buttons have actual icons; at most there's just little demos of what they do.

The planeswalker tags aren't shown in the post editor.
