You could replace Kozilek with Elixir of Immortality because it's the same reshuffle effect that you need and it triggers Angelic Accord. As for Wall of Omens, you just need a cheap drop to get you through the early game; Jade Mage could be okay because this deck does produce a lot of mana so having a sink would be nice. I'd have to look at the pool, though.

On another note, I like how MrP's editor calls out the premium content because I'm a consumer whore and bought them right away.

Elvish visionary is the obvious replacement for wall of omens. Hakeem, I have made a couple of minor changes I cut 1 gatekeeper for seance and 1 angelic edict foot shadowborn demon.

Oh I'm not running Visionary here, I forgot. I like Shadowborn but I wouldn't cut Edict, I'd cut a two-drop; Edict is just too good. Seance is good here, but I don't miss it because it's not that great without Accord in play.

I'll try your changes, though, I defer to your wisdom.

The following deck began its life as a NAYA build, attempting to use all the awesome world enchantments of those colors. I later had to decide to focus that build to be as strong as possible. That deck became to different decks that function similar, this is one of them:

[manapie 90 w -u b -r g][/manapie]

Sanguine Seance

A deck for Magic 2015.

60 Cards (28 :creature: , 8 :instant: , 24 :land:)

Cost 17 cards
■■■■
Elvish Visionary1/1
■■■■
Lone Missionary2/1
■■■■
Satyr Wayfinder1/1
■■■
Wall of Omens0/4
■■
Reprisal
Cost 1 card
■■
Reclamation Sage2/1
Cost 6 cards
■■■■
Saruli Gatekeepers2/4
■■
Séance
Cost 4 cards
Baneslayer Angel5/5
Shadowborn Demon5/6
■■
Sanguine Bond
Cost 2 cards
■■
Planar Cleansing
Cost 5 cards
■■■
Pelakka Wurm7/7
■■
Rune-Scarred Demon6/6
Cost 1 card
Griselbrand7/7
Land24 cards
■■■■
Golgari Guildgate
■■■■
Orzhov Guildgate
■■■■
Selesnya Guildgate
5
Forest
5
Plains
2
Swamp

Stall out with chump blockers, fill graveyard with satyr, cleanse, and gain life to live until your seance and sanguine come online.

I have been having some good success with each variant of this deck that I did. (Naya, Selesnya, and this one)

I like Angelic Accord over Sanguine Bond because it's cheaper and actually impacts the board. I'd also cut one Seance because they aren't that great, especially in multiples.

I also think that you'd be better served by playing Angelic Edict instead of Reprisal. By the time the big threats come online you can afford the five mana, and it hits any creature as well as enchantments. Oh, and the exile is surprisingly relevant.

Mentor should definitely be Planar Cleansing.

And Bam, you're almost playing my deck. :)

Hakeem, I have a white/green deck built already running accord over sanguine. It works great. I am not claiming this to be the end all be all to Abzan but it is extremely viable. (Not to mention your deck is already a really solid Abzan Accord build.)

I originally ran two edict over reprisal, I am testing out reprisals currently in place to see how much I miss edict. I know the exile is great and that is why I ran it originally. A friend recommended reprisal and thought, hell, might as well give it a fair chance. Reprisal has been overall better most of the times since I can cast something else on my turn and still have mana for it. Though I wish I had the exile when I am facing down a giant squid popper upper. (Forgot his name)

I have also made the mentor change to cleansing and I am officially never looking back from that!

Lastly, Seance is AMAZING here. I want it as consistantly as possible and having the chance to get it when one is put in the graveyard or after a cleansing is invaluable. I can actually deal 21 damage at the begining of my next turn quite consistently if seance and sanguine are on the table.

P.s. Sanguine often can be active once laid at the end of the turn it comes in if seance is out or if I have a lone missionary in hand.

Why Grazing Gladehart? I'd rather have more removal and that fourth Elvish Visionary.

Hey everyone! After some extensive testing, I decided to post an Abzan deck that I came up with lately.
The deck plays really smooth and is very strong 1v1, because of:
■ the early blockers which recycle themselves and aren't a bad draw late in the game, additionally they help to survive aggro - Elvish Visionnary, Phyrexian Rager
■ the ramp - Cultivate, Satyr Wayfinder,
■ recycle option with Treasured Find
■ tutoring thanks to Rune-Scarred Demon
■ removal - Shadowborn Demon, Planar Cleansing, Angelic Edict (useful against enchant decks and indestructible creatures)
■ ETB Effects - all of the above mentioned and Pelakka Wurm for lifegain
Cloudshift- which let's you abuse ETB even more, good synergy with Pelakka Wurm, Rune-Scarred Demon, Shadowborn Demon. You can use it for whatever you need, additional draw, removal, life gain, tutoring.
■ a lot of draw, which I love

Thanks to Rune-Scarred Demon and Treasured Find you multiply the number of copies of for example Angelic Edict. You can get it on demand with RSC, and then when needed get it out of the grave again and recast it. Then Cloudshift Rune-Scarred Demon to get the 2nd copy or a Treasured Find and cast the Angelic Edict again. Theoretically Kozilek, Butcher of Truth allows you to get all the cards (except those exiled like Treasured Find) back into your library and tutor for them once more.

I use Phyrexian Rager instead of Wall of Omens because rager doesn't have defender and is able to actually scare attack off or kill something instead of just blocking. The life loss doesn't matter because you have so many possibilities to get Pelakka Wurm into play and then Cloudshift it.

Cloudshift allows for a lot of nice plays like attacking with something big with ETB, and then shifting it, gaining the ETB effect again and blocking unexpectedly. Cloudshift is also a great way of protecting your big creatures against removal or when it gets blocked and debuffed like Ulcerate

Other than the fact that I want to see the second copy of Planar Cleansing, that list looks really solid. Maybe cut a Rager? It's your lowest-impact card in the list.

Thanks for the tip, I'll test it today. I usually need a Planar Cleansing to wipe the board early, not when I can tutor it with RSC, especially against flyers, as I can usually delay with Elves and Ragers. And counting on getting it into the graveyard and then Treasured Finding it is a bit to many ifs.

The other situation when it's useful is against Spider Spawning, Treasured find is a blessing then :)

The 2nd Planar Cleansing really helped.

But I still need more options against aggro, especially decks utilizing Goblin Rabblemaster or Chasm Skulker. I thought about replacing the remaining 3 Phyrexian Rager with 3 Banisher Priest or 2 Banisher Priest and Brimaz, just because he's so strong and produces chumps.

Any better ideas? Maybe removal would be better? Thought about Ulcerate, Righteous Blow or maybe Reprisal.

Saruli Gatekeepers. Seven life is pretty huge against aggro and he can block all day.

Imo, the Saruli Gatekeepers help stalling till you get the solution, but are not a solution themselves. I went with 3 Banisher Priest. The Priests slowed down the deck a bit, but added a whole new level of control (especially, that even if they get killed, they can be brought back thanks to Treasured Find). So far they perform magnificent disrupting all the big and potentially dangerous threats and are a welcomed draw even late in the game.

I'm also testing Griselbrand instead of Kozilek, Butcher of Truth as he's easier to cast and gives life and card draw.

The deck looks like this now:

[manapie 90 w -u b -r g][/manapie]

Abzan 1v1

A deck for Magic 2015.

60 Cards (21 :creature: , 15 :instant: , 24 :land:)

To be honest it plays a bit similar to Hakeem's and Monk's Jund Deck. It has less big bombs but is more control and defensive. Additionally it has enchantment removal thanks to Angelic Edict and Planar Cleansing, but the creature removal is weaker, because it lacks Auger Spree, Ground Assault. Also Planar Cleansing is more expensive than Anger of the Gods but wipes the board completly. The thing that white bring instead of red is the ETB abuse and protection for creatures thanks to Cloudshift.

My concern with using banisher priest is that if you must planar cleanse while he is on the field, they get their unit back and can attack you with it next turn.

This is one of the many reasons I don't run Banisher Priest. Now, if it didn't have that pesky "an opponent controls" clause in there, it would be completely playable in some sort of Jeskai Swap/Steal deck.

You're right guys, that's a huge drawback of the banisher priest and I've noticed this in a few games. For now I replaced them with Wall of Omens and testing the deck. Ulcerate may be too much pain vs an aggro deck to play it. Might be, that I'll finish with what Hakeem suggested: Saruli Gatekeepers...

What's funny, I didn't see Hakeem's Abzan deck 1 page earlier and thought to myself how brilliant and innovative I am while posting mine. And it turns out that my deck is basically his Jund and Abzan mixed together. Lesson learned!;)

It works great in a Jeskai steal deck, I have him and has been very useful for me.
