You can't really test with this few cards. Constructed will be "build around the handful of good cards, while playing filler to get to 60 cards", and limited will be horribly inbred by the increased frequency of certain specific cards.

I suggest keeping the dual land cycle in enemy colors for the sake of NGA Constructed, which has a glut of allied duals.

I think the Time Spiral block would be the perfect set to match this one up with when we're imagining an entire Standard format. Time Spiral is all about how time, which is usually predictable, goes erratic. Starstill is all about how space, which is usually erratic, becomes predictable. Put Starstill, Time Spiral, and NGA Masters all in one Standard block and we've really got something to play with.

It's a cute thematic connection but would it work play-wise? I mean how much mechanical crossover is there between the sets?

I don't really think there are any. I'm just throwing it out there.

Alternatively we could balance it with the Khans of Tarkir block, once that gets going.

I think it should be balanced for Block Constructed. Leave Wizards sets out of it.

Indeed. That or NGA constructed. Once we get this set more or less settled it's going there isn't it?
Speaking of NGA constructed... CKY, is there any chance you could set up a Starstill format for playtesting?

The problem is that NGA Constructed is barely finished right now, and the banlist isn't set up yet. NGA Constructed also has a very high power level since it's an eternal format. We can remedy simple things like the lack of enemy duals in NGA Constructed, and I've attempted to push some cards that will be relevant in larger formats, but I think we should think of NGA Constructed as more like Legacy or Modern rather than being too concerned with how Starstill will impact it.

I will definitely set up Starstill for playtesting, but only once the set spoiler is finished.

Parad, I think we should make a thread for Block Constructed testing and another thread for Sealed/Draft testing. We can use those to set up games, discuss deck tech, and so on.

I think Metalscape should always or never be an artifact. Sometimes being an artifact depending on how it's cast is confusing.
Shouldn't Consortium Customs be a loxodon? Or did that idea get nixed when we went South American for flavour?
I think Breath Of Maraka might have gotten one of it's votes on the condition of making it a 3/3.
Also, I think Adaptive Yeti might have only gotten in on the condition it got trample. I'd check, but I really need to head off for work now.
