Why wouldn't you edit it if you make a change, even if it is a slight change back to an original state? Seems appropriate to me.

Do you need to edit your post again stating that you put inspiration back in?

But I haven't put Inspiration back in; I replaced two Inspiration with two Graveborn Muse and it has stayed that way ever since.

EDIT: I have just noticed I didn't amend the card counts for the black and blue cards after the switch, I'll change that now.

I am an idiot, I am guessing there were 4 inspiration before your change.

P.s. I have been giving this combo deck a try but to no avail. I may just be having bad luck but one thing I notice is I always have tribute to hunger early and it's completely a dead card.

I can't get a win with your build to save my life! ><

That sucks man. You could try swapping out Tribute for Ulcerate. And if aggro is what you're having trouble against, perhaps swap Angelic Edict out for something quicker like Righteous Blow or Dead Weight. When I play this deck I spend a lot of time doing nothing, holding cards back until it is most advantageous to use them.

EDIT: Updated the deck list with the cool new deck planner design.

Seeing as we now have the full DLC lists, I'll be take the chance to update an Esper deck I posted months back when we thought some of the Alara DLC would be in the base package.

[manapie 90 w u b -r -g][/manapie]

War Machines

A one vs. one deck for Magic 2015.

60 Cards (21 :creature: , 18 :instant: , 21 :land:)

Cost 6 cards
■■■■
Dead Weight
■■■■
Traveler's Amulet
Cost 20 cards
■■■■
Etherium Sculptor1/2
■■■■
Glaze Fiend0/1
■■■■
Tidehollow Strix2/1
■■■■
Courier's Capsule
■■■■
Negate
Cost 6 cards
■■■
Esperzoa4/3
■■■
Darksteel Ingot
Cost 4 cards
■■■■
Sanctum Gargoyle2/3
Cost 3 cards
■■
Sharding Sphinx4/4
Obelisk of Alara
Land21 cards
■■■
Arcane Sanctum
■■■■
Dimir Guildgate
8
Island
2
Plains
4
Swamp

Quick and simple deck, with a few interesting interactions. Mainly using the Esperzoa to bounce cheap (or free with the Sculptors) artifacts like the Amulets and Capsules to power the Fiends, or later you can sac them to pull lands and draw cards and bounce the Gargoyles instead to pull them back. The Obelisk will also be able to activate all 5 modes if an Ingot is present.

Lands would be subject to final testing.

6

Information
Believe it or not, but this deck actually evolved from a Vampire deck. I really wanted to find a way to make Blood Tribute work, and eventually settled on making the deck stall until it can use it as it's main win condition. For those of you who don't know; Blood Tribute + Sanguine Bond + any Vampire equals instant win. This deck actually wins this way almost every time, and doesn't lose that often either.

You have removal, stall walls and a ton of card draw to sift through your deck for your combo parts and then boom; take 'em out in one hit. You also have Angels and Demons there, just in case (or to intimidate your opponent), but I rarely have to swing with them. The Demons can also help you fetch combo parts for a win the next turn, usually.

I have been going back and forth between Ulcerate and Tribute to Hunger, so you could use either if you wanted. Ulcerate is better against aggro, and Tribute is better against control.

I briefly also trialled Vizkopa Guildmage as extra Sanguine Bonds, and while 9 mana to perform the combo is easy enough to reach with this deck, the Guildmages didn't otherwise gel, especially as they were taking the place of either removal or stall.

Edits
Edit 1: Stabilized the card draw a bit and changed some removal around.
-1 Island
-2 Inspiration
-3 Ulcerate
+1 Orzhov Guildgate
+3 Tribute to Hunger
+2 Graveborn Muse

Edit 2: Changed deck list to planner view.

Have you considered Pharika's Chosen? it is a beast at stalling early. Could really be helpful if you can work it in.

With the lack of early removal, I feel like maybe it could find a home over tribute potentially? How often does tribute net you any worth while kills/life gain?

Man, I haven't played this deck a long while.

I wouldn't know what to replace to put it in. You need the draw cards to help you get to your combo pieces, Guard Gomazoa is a good, solid wall, and the vampires are necessary combo pieces.

Regarding Tribute to Hunger, even a little bit of life gain is helpful. You only need a minimum of 1 life when you pull off the combo to win. Better tutors would help this deck out immensely. Something like Diabolic Tutor would be fantastic.

Regarding the lands, I'd suggest dropping 3 Dimir Guildgate for 3 Crumbling Necropolis just for free Obelisk of Alara

Brilliant suggestion actually. All benefit and no drawback.

Not been able to test the deck yet as I'm still waiting on the 360 DLC, but that's a really good idea and not something I think would have occured to me naturally.

I really wish there were a couple of big artifact bombs. Darksteel Colossus, or the wurms would be amazing.

I know you're going for the synergy with Esperzoa, but I don't think Glaze Fiend or Traveler's Amulet are worth deck slots. The potential payoff doesn't seem worth the risk of running cards that are pretty bad on their own.

And Elk, that is some sweet tech.

The biggest issue I've got with glaze fiends is that I think they would be better in a deck that allows you to fling them. I've had one grow to 40/40 or better (I forget, but it was huge), after I swing when all the little 1/1 artifact creatures appeared. The problem is that it happened after the hit, e.g.: once it no longer mattered. That + Fling = g.g. (probably win-more at that point, but still)

I'm wondering if the best artifact deck could actually be Bant instead of Esper. Losing Strix hurts but you could pick up Satyr Wayfinder to combo with Sanctum Gargoyle. You would also get access to Rhox War Monk and Rafiq, which are just pure value. Knight of the Skyward Eye and Battlegrace Angel are new cards that could go in that deck as well.

I think the best artifact deck will be straight UW, I have posted base build of it.

I like Hakeem's idea. Stevo gives me ideas also. I have an affinity for Bant to begin with, so I am posting my Artifact deck... now.

Gemini did you consider dead weight over ulcerate? I am not a big fan of ulcerate with no life gain.

Glaze Fiend is actually pretty strong when every non-land card of your deck triggers it. It's like a flying Kiln Fiend. Also, the secret tech everyone is missing for the artifact deck is Darksteel Axe.
