See how you feel when concepts and interactions you promoted before the game even came out and got universally slated as 'terrible' and 'cute' are months later worked into decks with similar themes by those same people and praised as creative and powerful innovations! :smirk:

It's one of the reasons I personally stopped posting decks. There's a lot of people here who simply respond blindly (either critically or uncritically) to specific posters and not the builds based on their attitude towards the builder, or if the builder is unknown, they ignore it. It makes feedback largely political and personality-based, and therefore ultimately worthless, so I wouldn't worry about missing out on it. ;)

Yeah, that one copy of Seance really makes this deck tick, how would I ever win without it? It's actually so powerful that I only included a singleton and chose only the four Wayfinders to support the minor graveyard subtheme.

Congrats Steve, I suppose you want me to thank you for building my deck for me?

Seriously, can you 2 actually get along? This fighting BS is getting old. Just accept your differences and quit being dicks. This goes equally back and forth between you 2. Get over yourself, who gives a **** about the other, get over it! I like both of you, but this is getting really old, please stop.

wow, lol. Didn't I build a deck on that same page and didn't get any..."likes"?

And another of my builds I followed up with personal comebacks for any that do try it out, and yeah it got noticed. But, duh. Seriously lots of threads here. Can't read or pay attention to them all. PLUS this is a small audience in the grand picture.

So, of course early friendships formed before I got here as well. But share if you wanna share. Don't if you don't. Definitely don't post expecting feedback, if it happens it happens. There's ALOT more looking at this forum then people POSTING on the forums. Hell, I've made 4 friends since my last build was posted. People who don't ever post, but read the forums still.
"Are you Hanika? from the NGA forums?"" I tried a build of yours." or "I think I just read about the deck your playing right now. lol"

Small game in the world.
Small dedicated group sharing on here out of that group.
Takes time to build someone else's build, and give it real testing to help everyone. There's still a few on here I haven't tried that I want to. But, only get maybe an hour a day. More on days off. So A lot of sharing is just looking at the build and maing quick judgements unless they actually try it.
Never take anything someone posts personal. Read it, Consider it, Like it or not they shared their personal thoughts. If it coincides with others, it can be takin the wrong way I guess.

Hey, I've got some good deck ideas from this site, so I thought it's only fair to register and contribute myself. Here is the decklist for one of my favourite and best-performing decks:

"Angelic Séance"

(no premium cards)

White:

4x Lone Missionary
2x Séance
3x Angelic Accord
2x Planar Cleansing

Black:

3x Necromancer's Assistant
1x Shadowborn Demon
2x Rune-Scarred Demon
1x Griselbrand

Green:

4x Satyr Wayfinder
2x Cultivate
4x Saruli Gatekeepers
3x Pelakka Wurm

Multicolor:

3x Vizkopa Guildmage
3x Treasured Find

Land:

4x Plains
3x Swamp
4x Forest
4x Selesnya Guildgate
4x Golgari Guildgate
4x Orzhov Guildgate

About the deck:

This deck uses cards like Satyr and Necromancer to fill your grave with cards and then reuse them as much as possible. Key card of the deck is Séance, which lets you reuse cards put in grave by these fillers, as well as reuse the fillers themselves for additional grave fill.

Your main win-cons are gonna be: tokens from Angelic Accord, Vizkopa Guildmage's second ability, beatdown by demons and wurms

Tips:

- If you start with Planar Cleansing, try to stall with small creatures until you can't hold the enemy off any longer, then wipe the board for highest card advantage.
- Try to never drop your lifegainers before you can use their ETB lifegain with Accord/Vizkopa for best advantage.
- Always reanimate larger creatures with Séance in your opponent's turn, you can block with them/discourage your opponent from attacking! Reanimate smaller creatures in your turn.
- If you control a Shadowborn Demon, you can reanimate Pelakka Wurm and sacrifise it then to the demon, granting you the card from the wurm which you would otherwise not get, as wurm would get exiled by Séance, not destroyed.

If you have any questions or suggestions, post them and we can discuss. Have fun with this deck!

You are correct, For various reasons this build is better than Hakeems 1.0 version of his build.

I gotta say after hours of testing some spot removal will make this deck more balanced if not better.
But like you said, this is not the final version. So Im sure you may have worked that out on your own. Im interested to see what you came up with. Even if it is in a pm.

Ugh...welcome to the forums!? ;)

I can totally see that happening. But on the other hand, I'd be a bit sceptic too about ideas and lists with no meta experience, that is a too important aspect of deckbuilding. And I also have to say that when I first saw cards like the Satyr, Seance or even Spider Spawning, I thought they were really **** and weak. Now they are of the strongest cards in my decks. I especially have a thing going on for the satyr.

What your saying does make sense. But for a format like DOTP judging card quality is no more difficult than say any other limited environment. With such a small pool its not hard to pick out some of the bombs in the group.

Speaking of the meta, I am seeing a lot more slower control decks the last few days, more than I am seeing fast aggro decks. I'm ready for the DLC, lol. I'm having a blast still with what we have though!

Oh yeah Nebula I agree. We always love new cards to play with. My love for magic is the only thing that keeps me going.

Just copying here a deck I found interesting on the official forums :
Junk Reanimator (Premium) (By DJ0045)

24 Lands :
4x Golgari Guildgate
4x Orzhov Guildgate
4x Selesnya Guildgate
4x Forest
4x Plains
4x Swamp

21 creatures :
4x Lone Missionary
3x Wall of Omens
4x Satyr Wayfinder
4x Necromancer's Assistant
3x Pelakka Wurm
2x Rune-Scarred Demon
1x Griselbrand

15 spells :
3x Treasured Find
3x Angelic Accord
2x Seance
3x Rescue from the Underworld
2x Doubling Season
2x Planar Cleansing

The big selling point is that Doubling Season enhances 3x Angelic Accord and turns Seance into a very, very powerful reanimator (copy tokens are not exiled at the end of the turn)

I'm liking this deck but I don't get Planar Cleansing. More often than not I'm stuck with this card in my hand because I don;t want to lose all the enchantments I have on battlefield. Can Someone explain the reasoning for this card in deck?

I answered this on DotP, but it's a reasonable question. First off, it's extreme dissynergy with the deck. However, we don't have other sweeper options, the deck can recover very quickly, and benefits tremendously from card in the graveyard (it also can recover cards from the graveyard). It is definitely on my list of first cuts assuming we get an expansion. /shrug I think some people have probably already come up with better replacements, but I still run cleansing. In the end, it's just two cards out of 60. ;-)

After playing Rescue from the Underworld in my Jund list, I've decided to cut the Seance for a copy of it; Seance was amazing with an Angelic Accord in play but wasn't something I wanted to see otherwise so it's out. Updated list:

4 x Selesnya Guildgate
4 x Golgari Guildgate
4 x Orzhov Guildgate
5 x Plains
4 x Forest
3 x Swamp

4 x Satyr Wayfinder
4 x Lone Missionary
3 x Wall of Omens
2 x Treasured Find

4 x Cultivate

4 x Saruli Gatekeepers
3 x Angelic Accord

2 x Angelic Edict
1 x Baneslayer Angel

2 x Planar Cleansing

2 x Rune-Scarred Demon
3 x Pelakka Wurm

1 x Griselbrand

1 x Kozilek, Butcher of Truth

I don't think it has anything to do with people judging a deck from a logical stand point (as if someone else's judgment is some standard benchmark).

Thought I would throw this out there. Does have 2 white cards but it's pretty much b/g.
Land
2 x plains
8 x swamps
7 x forest
3 x selesnya guildgate
3 x orzhov guildgate

Black

2 x cruel sadist
3 x ulcerate
3 x suffer the past
4 x child of night
3 x tribute to hunger
2 x sanguine bond
1 x Griselbrand

Green

4 x grazing gladeheart
4 x cultivate
4 x nylea's disciple
2 x hunter's prowess
3 x pelakka wurm

Other

2 x vizkopa guildmage

Your basic life & death deck, but with green instead of white. Gladehearts with cultivate can rack up damage quick. Pelakka wurms and Griselbrand are now twice as deadly. Plus you gotta love the child of night/hunter's prowess combo.

Hmmm... that's more of a Golgari deck, I don't think it belongs in this thread

Kind of what I thought, but I was promptly informed that Golgari is strictly b/g and even a splash of white was unacceptable. Thus the move to this thread.

I was just kidding around, it's clearly Abzan. It's a good deck, btw. Nice job.

Hakeem, any obvious replacements for Wall of Omens and Kozilek for those of us that aren't buying the premiums?
