The goblin was in fact meaning Sildar ... but now he is quite scared of Haldar =P

Yeah, I figured, but I wanted to make sure the goblin got the right impression. He was getting a little too full of himself there. ^_^

I'll try to have a post up before sleep in 45 minutes.

But I'm currently about to strangle half of the staff in charge of transcripts and credits at this college. There will be blood!

:shifty:

I'm not sure if you just didn't notice, BH, but I already said I was checking out the stuff around the ground.

Aye. I forgot to fluff it in the post but I saw it. You tied Rhasta's check so there wasnt anything new to learn. Was more or less looking for either a higher perception / investigation or someone to make a nature type check.

Of course the goblin conversation is leading to basically the same information, I was just giving everyone stuff to do in the meantime.

Home, and caught up on the thread. Gonna let the roleplay between characters unfold but I'm ready to move things forward regardless of which actions yall end up choosing.

- Hide the wagon and follow the goblin.
- Attempt to bring the wagon and follow the goblin
- Kill the goblin and follow the trail yourselves
- Head to Phandalin with the wagon with or without the goblin.

Also, I just realized it's the weekend for most people... the days all blur together for me. How's everyones weekends going?

Well, the reason I haven't posted much was because yesterday was my birthday. Both yesterday and today were somewhat busy days for me, with family and friends coming to visit, but right now everything is kinda back to normal again.

I'll re-check on the IC thread but I dont think there's much for Tomi to talk about right now anyway

Happy late birthday! Hope ya had fun!

Aye, but there's awlways something to do! A lot of PBP games fall into a slump cause everyone is waiting on everyone else to do something. But content breeds content, and the best way to keep things chugging along is just get in there and do something.

At this point you have the trail you can follow but you'd need to hide the wagon or you can press on to Phandalin. So for those not talking to the goblin you can always start doing stuff like looking for a place to hide the wagon, checking to see if the horses are going to block the path, loot the bodies of the dead goblins, knowledge check to see if you've ever heard of the Cragmaws or The Black Spider, etc etc etc.

The more you put in the more people and the DM can react to! ;)

Meh. currently my only day of the week off is Thursday. So a weekend for me is just another work day. Normally saturday tends to be busy but sunday rather chill ...so theres that.

Just so you all know, I'm getting married at the end of this week and headed off on my honeymoon immediately after. While I should still be able to check in and make a post every night, I may miss a night or two here and there. I'll try and be as active as I can this week to make up for it though. ^_^

Thanks. I'm going to be going on some tours of castles in England, so I'll be getting research for my weekly campaign. Also, since my soon-to-be wife is also a gamer, she already understands the desire to want to post to a PBP game anyways. So it all does work out.

English castle honeymoon? Sounds like you got a keeper! Have fun guy!

I'm actually looking at several French castles and a few English ones for inspiriation for a homebrew but I'm also half considering breaking away from the 'medieval Europe' feel ...

My last campaign was actually a Caribbean-inspired pirate campaign that ended up shifting into a more save the world because it's where I keep my stuff storyline. With the release of 5E, I feel like it's time to return to a more traditional campaign setting, though I'm still putting my own twists on it. For example, the country the campaign going to start in is an African-influenced merchantile state next to a Iroquois-like barbarian collective, an elven kingdom, and a devil-worshiping Germanic empire.

I'm mucking about between thoughts of a Steampunk subcontinent, some sort of Eberron-ish gritty post-fall world, a 'young' world where the races are just now coming into contact with each other, and a few other ideas that I've not nailed down yet. One of which was indeed a Caribbean inspired pirate campaign though =P who's world map would be based off the isles between Greece and Turkey in the Aegean Sea.

I tried looking this up, and I think it requires a DM ruling, BH. With Hex, after the target dies, I may use a bonus action on a "subsequent turn" to curse a new creature. How subsequent can this turn be? Like, could I wait half an hour later, before the hour is up, while we are out of combat, to hex a new creature? If I cast with a spell slot of level 3+, so that the hex lasts 8+ hours, can I maintain it through a short rest?

I'll see what I can find out.

Off the bat I'm guessing that they were aiming for "subsequent turn of this combat" but I dunno, theres been a few vague wording things I've found so far.

I wonder if the DMG is also going to be full of vague rules and half-sentences what with them pushing it back for quality assurance. Still could be worst. Just be glad you're not playing a Fantasy Flight RPG - the amount of head-scratching things they pull in their rulebooks is insane.
