Theoretically yes though you can't really throw a short sword. I assume you have a pair of daggers hidden on your person?



Melee attack only - barring mitigating circumstances.

Just for future reference, Garren, can we take our passive perception score as an alternative to rolling an active perception check? I seem to remember something about that in the rules but I can't find it at the moment.

Yeah, I couldn't find it either. I got it from the weekly Q&A session on the Reddit DnD Next sub, but I don't know if it's common consensus or if they had another reason for saying it.

By the way, folks. I have an adventure here a this site and I lost a player recently. I want to to have a new substitute since my old substitute vanished too. I know it is just 4ed, and not so sexy as 5ed, but it is an interesting game at least.

A couple of questions:

1)Is the way I'm doing Argun's accent okay? I think I'm getting across that he's a hick, but I don't want to overdo it and make it hard to read.

2)felbatista, awesome RP. I think our flaws managed to grate one another just enough.

3)Garren - Is the clash of our respective hangups worth inspiration?

I think Argun's accent is great and it's interesting to have that bit of tension. Maybe they can release the aggression on some goblins!
