The titles says it all, really: What card from Khans of Tarkir are you most psyched to slam into your draft pile? Do you want to draft seven Ruthless Ripper and try to burn them out that way? Do you want to see Surrak Dragonclaw with his awesome bear hat?

As for me, I really want to see Villainous Wealth. I want to slam it down first pick, and proceed to grab all the 0/4's and 0/5's and 0/6's I can alongside removal spells and Banners and just cast it for a million, and laugh and laugh and laugh.

It's a decent morph because it blocks well and unmorphs for cheap, and the Abzan's ability to create +1/+1 counters makes it into a building block for an unstoppable voltron. The 4-drop combat trick that adds counters is great on it, for example, or the Abzan dude that distributes counters when it lands. It's also very easy to underestimate so it won't often be targeted with unconditional removal, even though it basically blocks/attacks into the entire format fine.

The 4-drop trick that adds counters is great on anything, I noticed. I splashed for it in my Mardu pre-re as one of the 4 green cards.

There are definitely some good combat tricks.... Dragonscale Boon, the cantripping ones, Abzan Charm... the flash enchantment.

Problem is, there is also a ton of removal and decks are already cramped for spells due to fixing and/or 18 lands.

I got great mileage out of Feat of Resistance on the weekend. It has so much utility in this set.

1. Counters a colored spell or ability targeting your creature (or sheds an existing unwanted aura)
2. Makes your creature effectively unblockable-for-a-turn against a board where all the creatures share a common color
3. Lets your creature survive a combat it would have died - and often kill a first/double striker it wasn't even supposed to hit.
4. Adds a +1/+1 counter, which, when you're playing Outlast critters, can come with a surprise and permanent Deathtouch/First Strike/Flying/Lifelink/Reach bonus.

One particularly swingy play for me on the weekend... my opponent played Savage Punch on his Bellowing Saddlebrute and my 6/3 Krumar Bond-Kin (was getting +1/+0 due to Chief of the Edge). So he looked to be getting his 6/7 to fight my 6/3; his would live and mine would die. I play Feat of Resistance naming black, and suddenly my 7/4 pro-black Orc was stomping out HIS Orc instead (and being permanently bigger for it when all the dust had settled and reaping Outlast-sliver benefits henceforth).

It's kind of funny: I saw a wealth cast for X=7 essentially whiff at the prerelease.

Me? I want to Feed the Clan. I want to, just once, run a Temur deck with all the fat and about five of the freeking things and just gain more life than my opponent has damage in their deck.

I'm also pretty interested in getting some use out of Ruthless Ripper, jerk that it is.

As for rares, I got to live the dream with Kheru Spellsnatcher at the prerelease, so I've got to say I'd like to see one of the lesser khans -- Narset or Sidisi -- work.

That was very close to being my answer to this thread.

I only wish it were an instant so I could get someone's Sarkhan with it.

I don't think I'd ever stop laughing.

Four copies of Altar of the Brood, together with all the walls I see. And laugh fiendishly as my poor opponents' libraries disappear.

A buddy of mine lost a prere round to decking to a deck running one Altar of the Brood, and one Clever Impersonator that was generally used to make a second Altar of the Brood.

I did see it cast a couple times. One time it could have been hard cast!

I tried Dead Drop in Standard. Actually ended up being somewhat decent.
