I don't know if this should go here or in IC, but Joab rolled high init, but does he even know anything is going on? Can I assume that the scouts shouted a warning?

You're actually a special case in this regard as your the only party member who can't actually see the goblins behind their inept attempts to hide. So can't see anything going on directly but you certainly will have noticed that the scouts have stopped the cart and you will be able to see the dead horses.

Or less wordy you know something is off but can't see any attackers. You could make a Wisdom (Perception) check to see if you spot whats going on.

Thanks to BH for the map and doc! I made a little counter but not sure how to upload the image properly. Trying to simply insert into the 'Vac' square but it's ending up at the top of the column. Not really familiar with spreadsheets. Any suggestions?

Island, On the Tokens (tabs at the bottom) sheet, look at my cell entry for an example. Click my token cell and then look towards the top at the Fx line. Copy what is there, but substitute your own token URL. (I recommend imgur.com for uploading pictures if you want to modify your token. Otherwise, you should just be able to link directly to the image online.)

On the first sheet, the token line should have updated to reflect your token.

Now, in your current cell location, just erase it, then type an Equals sign, and click on your token. VOILA.

Can we clarify where exactly we spot movement in the trees so we can direct those who didn't?

I am completely lost here. Whose turn is it? Are we supposed to move together?

Also we have at least any clue of where the goblins are? At the back of the wagon, Sandal has cover?

edit: Also, if it's round one does that mean that I've simply wasted initiative and that once the first line (Joab, Sandal and Vaeca) act the first line of goblins will attack whatever we do?

To answer a few question;

Initiative: I'm trying something new here. BH suggested it and it is basically to have the players act as a group rather then having a single person act, wait for me to respond, then the next person acts and so on and so on. This is tied with the battle tracker on the spreadsheet that allows you to determine if you have hit a creature without my having to turn and and say yay or nay every attack - it's all the in name of cutting down the delay during combat.

Joab, Sandal, Vecea all get to act in whatever order they wish - be it first come first served or pre-planned here in the OOC. So if you want to go over a smack a goblin you can do that.

Sorry I keep posting but I'm on the computer at work all of the time...

Couple questions:

I was initially considering having a couple guys creep up the sides to get in position then Vaeca going in with the cart to draw the goblins fire. Then attack as they did...or a madman galloping dash flinging spells off the back of the cart. (but I think Vaeca talked himself out of that one. Also there's probably a bunch of ability checks to figure out for that)
Either way - would the cart have to stay (mostly) on the path? Or would it be able to travel in the grass/light green? I'm assuming probably not as its not a well travelled road. So then would Argun and Booker have to move out of the way before he moved the cart at all? If so I realised by initiative Vaeca would have to wait another round before moving.

Which makes me realise I better get him out of the cart and doing something productive.

Does it matter where on the cart you take his movement from? Or does it have to be from the drivers seat. ie. E3 or E4?

Thinking he'll just head for one of the sides and take cover and try get closer to one of the goblins before they spot anyone. Then others get into position before attacking or even move the cart if they need to. Just wanted to get some feedback before doing anything, didn't want to take things over. Can figure it out then let them sort it IC.
