I'm a little worried about switching over to magiccards.info. I mean, I much prefer using that site to using Gatherer, but at the same time, it took a long time for M15 to get added. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how reliable the updates are.

Edit: I hope magiccards.info does work out, because these high-resolution autocards look great.

We're actually using mtgimage.com rather than magiccards.info. The maintainer has historically been good about getting new sets loaded quickly, so hopefully that continues.

(And yeah, they're beautiful! I believe the images come from the same source as magiccards.info, actually.)

[edit] Note: at the moment, the link to Gatherer in autocards is broken for cards with spaces in their names. This was a silly mistake on my part that will be fixed when I get home this evening.

Sweet!

Yeah, I think the guys over at the slightymagic.net forums are still the main source of high-res card scans, and they have amazing quality control. (Sometimes this leads to serious delays on their part, but you can't argue with the results.)

New odd change/bug: Card Images larger and over-saturated.
Also, nonexistent cards have started calling "broken image" rather than "card back", which isn't a problem but is weird.

We just changed our source for autocard images, so they should look a bit different. Are they slightly larger, or downright enormous? The latter would be a bug.

The broken-image-on-nonexistent-card thing is expected too. I'm not sure of a good workaround for that yet.

I have encountered a bug, because the images returned for things like planes, and I assume theoretically schemes are TINY by comparison.

That's not a bug, just a result of making all card images the same width. :shifty:

Yeah, I'll fix that. In the morning. The real, non-4:30am morning.

OK, plane autocards should now be readably large. Sorry about that.

If this -->Bloodhill Bastion<-- is still tiny, try clearing your cache.

It is larger, but now it's cut off across the middle...

It looks normal to me. Do you have the same problem with other planes?

It did the same thing at first, and then I refreshed, and everything works now. So nevermind.

Not sure if this is a problem or not, but some fields when they have too much data, like preferred pronoun set, can cause the author section of a post to stretch and not line up with other posts.

It should be better now. Thanks for pointing this out!

Not sure if I should report this as a bug, but Wall of Mulch auto-cards as its Onslaught and not M15 version. Also, Smite the Monstrous is auto-carding the Duel Decks version instead of the Khans of Tarkir version.

I think I know the reason, Lord Luna. I believe it was mentioned when we switched the autocard database that this one always shows the version they have the best resolution of. So if cards have better scans from earlier sets, that's what will show.

Yeah, if you compare the quality of Wall of Mulch and Smite the Monstrous to Feral Incarnation and Kill Shot, you can see that the site just doesn't have high-quality scans for those sets yet.

I assume the behavior will change as soon as better images are available.

I've encountered some weird behavior when sblocks interact with quotes. let's see if it's reproduceable here:

the first sblock

it's not. huh. ok, weird, this has happened to me the last couple times I've tried to post PT templates. maybe it's a volume thing?

I don't know if this is a bug, but I've been noticing lately (as in, over the past few days) that I've been seeing more "you have successfully logged in | return to previous page" pages than I used to (which is to say, more than none). They are redirecting automatically within a few seconds, but as I said, that hasn't been a thing which I've witnessed for months.

What Luna said. Not really an issue or anything but I would be curious to know if something has changed to cause it.
