I like that analogy and I think we should use that analogy more often.

As you wish!

(It was very very hard not to post a clip from the Princess Bride here.)

No, see, I don't think you get it. As I see it, there's like a "soul forge" before the souls get a body, and sometimes during that event a little extra energy gets stuck on. Then the souls just get put into a body as it's born. The druid effectively put Nyota through that birthing process and a soul got attached. Storyteller's luck that it had the spark.

Oh, and Barinellos: You didn't have to resist. EMBRACE THE AWESOMENESS OF THAT MOVIE, NOW! CONVERT THE HEATHENS!

...I may have gotten a little carried away there.

Man I get it I just don't agree that we can make those kinds of assumptions about how souls and the spark work.

I also don't think it's a necessary complication when you could just have a bunch of talking cats because Fantasy.

Heck we've got a unicorn Planeswalker now so it's not even all that weird.

I don't think that word means what you think it means.

Huh... I kinda thought my boat was weirder.

Though, both were cases of Sparks of existing 'walkers being transferred into something else. Mari Gwenn got her's from an old 'walker she killed, and Celesine was an elf who was put into a ship. Then there's the slime, and whatever Pendulum is. I also feel like Raiker's victims deserve a special mention. A slimeomancer who can only talk in rhyme and a catfolk that's been turned into a jade statue is pretty weird. Also, Vasilias is basically a city in the modern time-line

Come to think of it, how weird do you think is too weird for this project in regards to Planeswalker concepts?

Yeah no the boat definitely is up there in weirdness :P

I think it's less a matter of weirdness and more a matter of what's too garbled or has too many moving parts to be a good character. Obviously we can deal with quite a bit of weirdness as long as it has a solid explanation.

There's a good mantra to walk away from with this.
"Simplicity is elegance."
