Yeah, I thought we had more white playables than that: we have a trip spirits and a pillar, which is no way to handle it. On the other hand, we have an Ancient Silverback and a soul right here.

The answer is no, no we don't, and green picks are a possibility. We can run the high-end stuff off 6 forests (so by 6 land we expect around 2).

The real question is how you expect to get decent use out of trip spirits with no cheap white creatures or anthem effects -- because that's not going to happen. I don't see why we would take the spell that makes tokens happen once at 6 mana with CC outside of blue over the 6/6 beater for 6 mana who makes tokens happen as often as we have the mana for it in CC outside of blue

I mean, Spirits is great and all that, but we need white cheap dudes to make it work, and based on pack 1, I don't think we're going to get many. On the other hand, even the worst Soul is a bomb, and Zendikar is one of the better ones. Pair that with Silverback, we keep picking Green faties and Blue anything and we have a deck.

You do if you want to drop Soul or Silverback by T7 with any reliability. If you don't mind waiting until T10 then I guess you could go with less.

Meh, I don't think it's that bad. I think we can run 10/8, maybe even 11/7, and have a decent enough shot of playing our bombs before losing. We can even grab a Wilds at some point. I'm sticking with Soul from this pack. No one's going to pass White cards for us, and Spirits also has CC.

the question is if we can really cut playables right now. how many blue ones do we have? I count 13. we have 2 green playables (Moss-Beast isn't good but it's playable) and 3 white ones. and for the record I'm counting playables, that doesn't mean good, and it's not really deck-specific. heck, I went back and forth on even including **** grindclock. I don't think we can afford to take the Soul and ditch our three existing white playables even if it's the better card. I'm gonna say Spirits. if we pull this off it's gonna be in WU.

Into the Void. I know we need small white guys, but we don't have an enchantment to make that pilgrim worthwhile and Into the Void will be great at stalling as we set up our flyers.
