It's a thing R&D does. They get people to rate the rares to see which cards in the new set are the most exciting. I thought it would be a good way to get a better look at the set and draw attention to our heavy-hitters.

Ok, so, I need to know. Is temporary vs permanent a thing? Was it ever a thing? Is it supposed to be a thing? Should I act like it is a thing? Can I complain when people don't make it a thing?

I think it was a thing, but then once we put in Viashino Sandscout, Wall of Clouds, and Irondeep Spelunker, we left it at that. Plusm Engrave being primarily Frostwynd helps support the permanence theme on that side. But besides Antique Guardian, Wandering Collective, and Composite Construct, which are all artifact creatures that replace themselves when they die, there's no easy way to effectively express the permanence theme when the set is mostly permanents, since permanents are already, you know... permanent.

But I'll go through the set and see if I can reflavor some cards to better fit the dichotomy. Cutthroat Automoton, for example, should definitely be Illpyre.

Also, I don't know what the hell I did wrong when counting all the cards left, but there were numbers wrong in just about every color. Should be fixed now. Fortunately, no-one took a rarity that was actually unavailable, so it didn't end up making a difference.

No, I was just curious, because in that case, I was probably going to comb through the card and propose some changes here and there.
It's also because CKY just encourages us to make a cycle of artifacts with sacrifice abilities, when artifacts are primarily Frostwynd.

You send a card file to Welder and he puts them in the database. I've refrained from doing so so far because the card list is very much in flux, and I don't want to have to bother Welder every week with a new update.

Frankly, I needed a break from this project for mental health reasons, and though I'm better now, I still don't think we were ready for development and playtesting when we left off. There are still a few things I need to do before we can really get going. I plan to start development for real by Feb. 8th. That's the deadline I've set for myself.

In any case, I think that the development team needs to be a more concentrated group than the entire community as a whole. So while I prepare the website, the spoiler, and the art, in the meantime, I'll set up a development sign-up thread.
