I agree Stevo, I don't like repeating themes either, but it is kind of hard to not have a couple themes repeated here and there when you want a deck for each combination slot. I've done pretty good at keeping things varied though. I look forward to the next DLC, it should help that out quite a bit. I'm also surprised at the amount of variety we have with the core as well, it was more than I was guessing before we got our hands on 2015.

Thanks blinded, it was a solid core and I got some good suggestions along the way. I have updated my original post with the final decklist, I'm extremely satisfied with it.

Sure Nebula, I don't feel there's anything wrong with having multiple variations, but I mainly play socially with close friends and want to recreate the precon nature of past games in that environment to a degree where every time I switch decks, it's a different theme. That way we have maximum variety in our matches.

Nothing wrong with duping colour pairs if there's more than one archetype or exploring different uses of the same cards, but It's just a personal thing that I don't. It's why I haven't built a deck with the Stuffy/Avarice combo like DJ has in the Boros thread despitle liking it - because a friend's been running it in a WUR build for a while (it was his first deck) and I want our decks to all be distinct from each other we when play.

We've probably got about 20 completely different decks between the three of us though as a result, which is cool. One friend runs the single best Jund I've ever seen online. I'll repost in that thread if he doesn't mind. I haven't bothered with Jund simply because I don't think mine would be as powerful or interesting as his.

I'd personally try Mardu - remove the Green from the Abzan and Naya builds and combine the Warstorm and Reanimation elements for fun and profit!

I tried this for some time, but it didn't end well. You lose a lot of consistency in both fixing and graveyard filling without Green. I came to the conclusion that Naya or Jeskai might be better fits, but I already have rather unique decks for both color combos, and I'm on a quest to build a different archetype for each color pair. I still think Seance + Red has potential, though, and will try again in the future.

After playing this deck steady-belt for a few days now, I felt like it needed just one more bomb. After some deliberation, I removed one copy of Treasured Find for the third Pelakka Wurm.

On another note, wwBlackknightww and I played one hell of a game last night. He was using a Jeskai control deck against me playing this and I swear the game went on for well over half an hour. I drew my Kozilek with 10 cards left in my library and resolved it, but he bounced it back to my hand so I had to pass all my turns until I could discard it to hand size to avoid decking myself. He landed a Kozilek a short time later with a diminished library, and when I pointed Angelic Edict at it he used Reprisal on it to get it into the graveyard and force his own reshuffle. There was one point where he had a Bone Wand with seven or eight counters on it and hit me with a Volcanic Geyser for 15, but my life total was absurdly high and he couldn't finish me off after I removed the Wand with a Planar Cleansing. By the end of the game I had all 24 of my land in play and had gone through my deck nearly twice. Insane.

Yeah, that game was nuts. Super fun though! IIRC when you tried to Edict my Kozilek and I cast reprisal, my other choice was Voyage's End, which probably was the better choice. That is an awesome deck though. I think had any of the multiple Angelic Accords lasted more than a turn that game would have ended much faster. Those Gatekeepers...4 toughness made them annoyingly hard to deal with.

Ahh, I wasn't 100% if you just meant at that time or it was the end period.

I've been playing this all morning and haven't lost a game, probably somewhere close to 15 total games played. The extra Wurm has just pushed it over the top and I now consider this a finished deck. Here are two pictures of some of today's beatdowns:

Time to move on and brew something new!

Without angelic edict as spot removal other midrange decks walked on this build. It has made a major improvement.

It certainly did shore up a weakness; the trio of Pelakka Wurms have also made the deck much more threatening and the card they provide if they're answered has been very important.

Hehe the army of wurms that are over kill :p

Just kidding. How do you like the omens over visionary? I was using your original build to test my witch-maw deck. It has improved because of the testing as well. The testing was what showed the dire need for edict.

Look at Hakeem's build, now look one post up, compare and bare in mind the build above is without premiums.

All I'm saying is that you keep ignoring very good builds just because you don't know the guys.
You might have lost a guy (whoever he is) that is capable of creating very good builds because his post was ignored, and a rather similar build a post after was discussed for 4 pages after (this happens all the time btw).

You do have a valid point bentz. Im sure a lot of builds and members slip through the cracks. Im guilty of this as well. I have been preoccupied a bit. But if you caught it then you could have offered some assistance as well right?

It's really up to the original poster to push for the conversation in the end, and you'll notice that I tend to make a lot of follow-up posts when talking about one of my own decks.

In addition, a lot of the "ignored" builds are posted without autocarding or an analysis of the deck and rationale for choices. I just read the post you were talking about and that isn't true there, though, so it's hard to pinpoint why it didn't generate any discussion. The fact that there was an entire week of no activity in this thread between his post and mine is puzzling, but I guess nobody had anything to say at the time and then there was no attempt at a follow-up post so that was that.

Just wanted to tell you that you built a monster there Hakeem. Played all day yesterday while I was sick and won and an amazing clip. If I remember when I get home I'll post some screens. Funny I ended up against a lot of "Planeswalker " too

Neqtan - I also caught it just now, I don't enjoy dotp2015 as much as the previous versions, so I don't play it as much, I also don't post much deck builds because non of them are polished (I just posted in the beginning when I was ahead of other players playing time). I just finish building a deck close to what we are discussing, and this was the first time I entered this thread to check for similar builds and ideas.

Hakeem, thanks for the input, I will take it into consideration when posting. you refer to others' builds more than others here.

OK, so first of all, bentz, you have no idea how true your every word is! Secondly, I'm glad you like my deck! I love it too and it's even stronger now as I playtested and revised it!

I've been around mtg for quite some time now and I've play DOTP 2013 and 2014 as well, but I haven't really paid much attention to this forum, that was until recently when I read through some deck discussions and I loved some of the deck ideas. So I decided to sign up here and post my best builds as a way of paying back to the community.

However, I was a bit disappointed, when nobody was commenting on my decklist. I came back every day to check if somebody replied, but nothing. I didn't feel like bumping my decklist or drawing more attention to it, the list was posted and people had a chance to see it, so I could only assume that they didn't like it. How shocked I was though, when I came back a couple days later. A guy who is more active on the forums then me posted a very similar and in my opinion a bit weaker decklist (no offence hakeem, I like your build as well and it is still very similar to mine), which then people praised on two full pages.

Since then I have updated my deck so now it works even smoother, but being disappointed with the community here I haven't felt like sharing it here, as well as my two new very competitive decks. However, if somebody would like to know the current decklist or discuss various decks with me, feel free to send me a message and if you play on Steam, we can even discuss it there :teach:
