The M:EM generates a lot of information. Some of it gets dossiers, guides, either full writeups or partial "this is implied canon but we know a lot about it" writeups.
But a good amount of it doesn't. Planes are name-dropped with one-line descriptions, notable characters are met under circumstances that mean they are neither part of a setting's details nor given their own credit. Historical figures and sites of interest, being lesser than living characters or planes, are particularly prone to this sort of treatment.
Thus, I propose that these minor items be collected, along with all the little information that is known about them. It'll be a pretty huge project, but if we all chip in with items we've created or remember being relevant
Where to Draw the line?: this is honestly what I most struggle with here -- obviously, unnamed bit characters should't be listed, but what about named bit pieces. To take a couple Jakkard stories as examples, does VanDoren (from Rest for the Wicked) merit inclusion? What about Black-Tooth Bart and Shady Sythis? The other, deceased members of their gang that are only named in passing, not seen? It's a hard question, but for now my instinct is to see anything we can give a brief description of and a proper name to could be included -- who knows, perhaps someone else will need to use VanDoren, VanDoren, and Floogle, or decide that some member of Black-Tooth Bart's gang had an interesting enough name to merit inclusion in a chronologically earlier story. Perhaps they'll visit a plane only mentioned by name, with little or no description, just because it was something to explore. Certainly, it seems germane to our mission to preserve everything.
Right now I'd be looking for
Name: Description (Including planar and life status) Sources: Sources
For instance, one entry might be
Shady Sythis: Rattler outlaw of Jakkard. Deceased -- gunned down on a Black-Line 'ghost train'. Sources: Louder than Words
And another, for something more fleshed-out
Cornelius: Seemingly immortal human, and mage of minor talents. Former spellsquire to the Planeswalker Rhonwen (q.v.). Currently located on an unknown plane. Sources: Advent of a Planeswalker

This is something I've been thinking about for a while. I like the idea, particularly for planes. I tend to name-drop planes kind of a lot, and even if I'm not planning on using them again, others might. This seems like a good background project, with us adding things to the list as they occur to us, rather than sitting down and doing some good old-fashioned primary source researching. But I think it's worth looking in to.

I would really like to see this. I once collected the Planes and Planeswalkers back on the mothership forums. The planes thread is here, including a long bit about Glaciera:
Unless I'm trying to be sarcastic or humorous, most of my posts are extremely literal. Please don't "read between the lines" because there's nothing in there. If something isn't extremely explicit and blatant then I wasn't thinking it. I'm incapable of sublety and don't know how to imply things. I never knowingly "imply" anything, ever.
Right now it collects Taramir's stuff (the majority of the list), Some Illarion stuff (Homecoming and Ordinary Day), Keter, and Louder Than Words which kind of kicked off the project, as well as some stuff Arcades linked.
Additions are always welcome. Post entries here and I'll edit them in, or I think anyone with archivist access could edit them in directly.

I still would like to do something with Mirage and the Dragon, just for the record.

For comparably minor characters, they are both pretty interesting. Actually, it would be interesting to see them meet up with some of Jackie's crew. Or Merritt's always available, if you need a shootist.

I have the broad strokes of a plot in mind for them, but the details are a little swimmy, and it would probably end up being on a larger scale than I can bite off right now. I have no objections to them meeting anybody else, to be clear.
But thank you! I mean that. I like to think that my minor characters can hold a scene on their own, like Elevator Goblin or the Captain from Legacies.
