It has been difficult to adjust to the way the world has changed while I was trapped, though. For one, this Internet is quite a marvel. Also, it is much harder to buy microcassettes.

Indeed.
Incidentally, you can likely use the former to do the latter.
What an age we live in.

I sticky'd this week's active voting threads. That should help keep them where everyone can see them.

Provided it proves to be useful, I can do this on a weekly basis going forward.

Thank you very much. I don't know who contacted you with what threads were up, but it does make things a lot less cluttered. Thanks again, and I'll probably be contacting you on a regular basis, then.

Well, it works like this:

Following a dream I had many years ago, I have become deeply moved by the plight of the Tibetan people, and have been filled with a desire to help them. I also awoke from the same dream realizing that I had subconsciously gained knowledge of a deductive technique, involving mind-body coordination operating hand-in-hand with the deepest level of intuition.

Thus, when I want to determine which threads should be stickied on any given week, I employ the following method. I get a bucket of rocks, and I stand 60 feet, 6 inches away from a glass jar. I take a rock from the bucket, I whisper the name of a voting thread to it, and I throw it at the jar. If the rock hits the jar, that indicates that the thread in question should be stickied.

(Also, I'm on your mailing list.)

And you're very welcome!

How often do you need to purchase replacement glass jars?

They're surprisingly easy to obtain, compared to microcassettes.

Apparently, a subculture known as "hipster" developed while I was trapped inside the Black Lodge, and these "hipsters" think it is "ironic" to drink out of mason jars. As a side benefit, said jars are readily available at my local "Whole Foods Market," although I am still waiting for someone to explain to me precisely what leads these foods to be designated as "whole."

Are we going to be polite and ignore what just happened?

Have I mentioned that astral projection is another one of my abilities?

Let's pretend that it is.

Clearly, my undercover skills became rusty during those two decades I spent talking backwards.

Guys, I just had the strangest experience! I was speaking, only my voice sounded exactly like Kyle MacLachlan's!

I'm sure we'll get a quick moderation of the possession we just witnessed shortly.

Personally, I think this is all a ruse. I think GobO_DaleCooper approached Orcish about pretending to be him, to throw us off the track. I think someone else around here is the real GobO. We just needed someone trustworthy to expose that person...or persons!!!

I'd nominate Yxoque, but he's not around all that often, so Keeper, it's up to you.

I would volunteer to help, if only I had subconsciously gained knowledge of a deductive technique, involving mind-body coordination operating hand-in-hand with the deepest level of intuition.

Or, you know, something like that.

Which clearly I haven't.

Well we all know that Ravenclaw is Raven. I mean that's just obvious.

If only we could figure out who that creep Commodore Gruff is. What a chump.

Also woohoo 10K posts! We're creeping steadily up on the OOC board. It won't be long now before we surpass yet another board. Mwahahaha!

It's a good thing we don't have a gobO_DoveoftheWhite around anywhere.

I'm confused all the time.

The good news is, you get used to it.

I think.
