So, this is something I whipped up. It is not an official part of War of the Wheel by any means, but it does take place between the most recent chapter (Chapter 20) and the next time we see this characters (Chapter ? no sense in giving anything away!)
Trigger Warning
If you are OrcishLibrarian, be prepared for some serious Feels.
Daneera's Poem
The Rainbow Connection
By: Daneera
As I sit here and look at my bittersweet friends, And we wait for the last to arrive, I envision the strength that each one of them lends, To the hope that we’ll somehow survive.
Like a rainbow that dances through storm-pardoned skies, Their colors will mingle with mine, And there, when the tempest’s cacophony dies, The arc of our rainbow will shine.
Though I’m thankful to have them to stand by my side, And jealously watching my back, There’s a sharper discomfort I can’t seem to hide, At my allies who’s magic is black.
It’s a color that rainbows will never have seen, For they’re choked through the darkness of night, But the hues of the red and the blue and the green, Are at home with the warm shades of white.
To our cause they have mustered and pledged us their name, And have come from below and above, They are drastically different, yet somehow the same, With their dreams and the people they love.
The dragon is here for the love that she lost, To the Dual-Walker’s terrible wrath, The fox and the man paid a terrible cost, For the loves that put them on this path.
And the Siren had made loving memories; more Than we mortals could ever create, But those memories sour when thoughts turn to war, And a legacy founded on hate.
Then the Delver has come here in search of a life, Or at least that’s the way that it seems, And the Dragon, as well, once a kind, loving wife, They have both come in search of their dreams.
But the dreams of the Siren are haunted and dark, And her heart has been locked in a box, And each dream can be nightmares to those with the Spark, Like the dreams of the sorrowful Fox.
I will try all my best to give them what they need, And our rainbow will shine its decree, For together we’ll struggle, I swear we’ll succeed, The Lovers, the Dreamers and Me.
Raven and I will make our Vaudeville debut at the Mainstrike Hotel and Casino later this month. Apparently their last act disappeared suddenly, so we're getting our chance at the big time.

It's going to be very exciting. The only thing we can't decide on is the billing. Orcish maintains it should be "OrcishLibrarian and RavenoftheBlack," because it's alphabetical. I say it should be "The wonderful, glorious, magnificent and indomitable RavenoftheBlack! (and friend.) because it's vastly better. I even told him we could compromise and drop one adjective, but orcs are stubborn, you know...
I like the way it sounds, but I worry that it won't fit on the marquee.
On the plus side, you should see the deal I can get on straw boater hats by buying in bulk. And I hear you may already have a friend who can loan you a cane. Now we just need striped jackets.

I'm actually having a very funny mental image of Raiker Venn being really annoyed at having to rhyme "Kiwanis," and that being the trigger for all this.

Oh god. This. Just this. The thread that was initially a poem has devolved to you two doing a vaudeville routine about a vaudeville routine. This is the most hilarious thread I have seen in my life.
