Just as a heads up, I'm not generally a troll about things, but I was sorely tempted to fill in "identity" with "u/b... this is color identity, right?"

The open fields may be too much power.

Well I mean, these are magic boards. Is it really a problem?

I've already got my identity filled in with something that is true, something that is half true, and something that makes me happy.

I don' think this actually will offend a lot of people. I asked that before in this thread and from the few responses I got from it, it seemed like people were fine with people "joking" as long as they had the opportunity to put in their identity. Also, U/B is a totally viable way of identifying. I like that it's more open-ended than just gender and it allows for more room for experimentation. What if I feel male today, androgynous tomorrow, then male again, than sorta sexless cyborg... An open field allows me to show that sort of gender and identity experimentation, which I think it totally legit.

Since the sky hasn't fallen yet, hopefully the open field will work out.

The character limit's higher in the Pronoun Set field than the Identity field just in case someone wants to type out a full non-standard pronoun set; I deliberately set both of them pretty high. If people start writing novels the limit may be reduced in future once we have a better idea how many characters are actually desirable.

Oh, and while we're pointing out changes to the sidebar we also got rid of weekdays and exact times on join dates to reclaim a little of the space the new fields take up.
