Yes, Solemn Offering for the sideboard should be the correct pick.

Sure, I'll take the SB card over nothing.

I'll go with chinkeeyong on this. I don't think we need the First Response, so I'm happy to rare-draft this.

First Response just because I might be struck by inspiration on when to use it and really, 2 stain the mind?
Moss Beast because 5 toughness is annoying

I agree with Zenbitz that Beast is the better hate. beast is a fine BDG if they need one, whereas Statute is a 4-mana counter that doesn't even net you CA. it's not going in. I'd rather have Stain than response though. the others are unambiguous.

We've passed like a million Carnivorous Moss-Beasts though.

yeah but so have the people we passed them to, probably. they're not good, but they're serviceable. it costs too much but sometimes you just need a guy that's bigger than their guy, and Moss-Beast can be that guy. Statute is unplayable, so there's no sense hating it.

That's 61 cards.

But I still think that'd be pretty close to my deck. I probably don't run 18 lands as often as I should, but I feel like this is a safe one for 17? I do think Juggernaut's gotta get an inclusion, probably at the expense of one of the Paragons. I might cut the Griffin instead, as he's been pretty disappointing to me thus far (though I can't really understand why). Necrobite's the other card I'd love to have in here, but I'm not sure what it replaces.

Most of our spells are cheap. 11/6 add juggernaut I think is fine (but greedy) There is a pretty Nasty tension between the angel and flesh to dust. I don't think it's possible to make a mana base that's supports both. If you want to play flesh to dust before like turn 9 (on average) you need 9-10 sources

I would love to play a few dozen games (or maybe simulate a few 1000) to learn whether it's better to
A) be greedy
B) cut flesh to dust (maybe play necrobite+stain the mind)
C) cut avacyn (really this deck is good enough)
D) run 19-20 lands. (I would guess this is good if we had more black early creatures)

I would not be surprised if any of these was best.
