Alright everyone, lets see what the most interesting adventure hook plot you can come up with using only eight little words or less. They can be funny or serious and you can even post multiple that would work together in a chain.

  • The king is dead; No heir yet born.
  • The town mayor was a dragon all along.
  • Gnome teleportation device has malfunction. Where are we?

The dont have to be high fantasy... feel free to make them for any RPG. Lets see what sort of creative things people can come up with.

I was going to suggest someone build a game around that concept...but then I realized that its the second story arc of Order of the Stick. =P

  • Halflings and gnomes riot over height-based discrimination.
  • Everyone in city spontaneously gains sorcerers magic abilities.
  • Adventurers fall into portal; arrive in modern city.
  • Death God falls silent. Undead begin rising everywhere.
  • Adventurers go drinking; wake up as opposite genders.
  • Adventurers destroy cult. Cult's idols bear their likenesses.
