So over the next couple weeks my goal is to work on the mono-color slots and this is what I have come up with for mono-green. It is similar to some other builds. An aggroish mid-range green.
When I first went to work on mono-green I wanted a ramped up trample based fatty deck but it just isn't a realistic strategy with what we have atm. What I did come up with went 8-2 online and I was surprisingly happy with it. So here it is:
I initially had 4x
Radiant Fountain in as well but the life-gain wasn't outweighing the extra "oomph" with Bellow so I replaced them with Forests.
I ran this deck with 24 land and continually found it just wasn't enough so I had to bump it up to 25 and it was a lot more consistent after that.
Primal Bellow is a beast here (especially on a Krasis with Trample) and I love using it in combination with Prey Upon during the 2nd Main Phase after killing an unsuspecting blocker or damaging the opponent straight to the face (or both with Trample, lol).
I really wanted to have something else in place of the Visionaries but everything I tried just wasn't cutting it and that extra draw is pretty crucial when trying to get that 1 more land as well as it being an early drop.
As always, comments are welcome. It isn't the strongest deck in the meta, but for mono-green I am very happy with it!
