Is there anyone here that is talented with photoshop or similar? I have a challenging idea. If someone would like to take the time to create this, I would be delighted.

The idea starts with:

Image

Then I would like to layer this face over the face of the anguished of course keeping all of the detail of the burning and everything going on with the hands:

http://biffbampop.files.wordpress.com/2 ... dovico.jpg

Last idea would be a bowler hat on Tibalt, this may require adding to Tibalts head to make this work:

Image

Then to make it interesting have Tibalts face and the anguished face * popping out * of the image. The final image i was thinking would be used as an avatar or signature.

* Example of what im trying to say by popping out:

http://www.photoshopessentials.com/phot ... s/pop-out/

Well thats my insane idea...

So, if I understand this right, you essentially want:

You want Tibalt in a bowler cap.
The tortured guy with his eyes open.
And both of them to pop from the picture.

Right?

Made even harder by the fact the faces dont line up and that you'd basically need to graft a whole new Tibalt into the inage.

I have a general picture done. It's not over complicated, but it depends on how specific of an image he's looking for.
I'll post the result in a bit.

1. Yes
2. Not exactly just with his eyes open. It would be sweet if the guy looked or resembled the poor soul in the image being tortured. Alex DeLarge from a scene in Clockwork Orange.
3. Yes

And thank you for your time.

Here's what I have so far... the popping out is taking the longest because of the smoke mostly.
Spoiler

Not finished, but I figure you'd want to see the in-progress...
1) I'll fix the face for semblence, but that will take time.
2) I'll crop the left-most border out of the picture. This includes the bit of hat and all the white. There will be no border on the left side.
3) I'll crop about a quarter of the top-most border out of the picture. Only a little bit though.
4) I'll touch up the bottom-most border (I stopped short to get your opinion)
5) I'll crop the bottom-most border to where the coat ends. This will only crop the excess white.
6) As a bonus, I'm going to whiten his teeth. If you're gonna die, you're gonna die with good hygiene. :p

I'll make two versions, one with the white border (the one you see). And I'll do another one with a transparent border instead.

1. Looking great, thank you for all the time you have put into this. Much appreciated.

2. I think no border would be best let it blend in to its background whether in an avatar or signature position.

3. I like how you cropped out the arm and hand along the bottom. If you look at the far left corner vs the original you could crop out that little bit since its just air. Up to about the button all the way to the right at the end of the sleeve. Also I like how the rest of the bottom looks. But do you think chopping off the collar of the screaming guy makes it look odd? Cropping out everything from left to right all the way up to the collar makes things pop and gives the screamer a bit of a body. ;)

4. If you could crop out all the tid bits along the far right side that would be great. But as it stands I think enough is popping out to give it dimension. So go with your artistic gut. hehe.

5. You mentioned cropping out some remainders of the top. You could do that or leave it. It will look good either way.

6. Ok left side. This may be tricky but if you could add some hair off of Tibalts face and possibly a little jaw line to add a little dimension. If you could try to "stamp tool" something in there that would be sweet.

7. Lastly. If you could somehow pull off a miracle. And I do see how working this in could be a nightmare and a half. But Im curious what kind of magic you can pull. I would love to see some of the head gear and the eye restraints from the link below mastered onto our screamer.

http://biffbampop.files.wordpress.com/2 ... dovico.jpg

What you did with the eyes is sick. But just to give it that touch so when someone sees it they would recognize what its from. That is if they actually seen the movie. Oh and go ahead and whiten the teeth if it makes you feel better lol. That had me chucklin.

altimis you have talent. I used to have photoshop cs2 some years back. Love to create stuff with that program. Gimp has come a long way as well. Been so long since a worked with them...

No worries, I jsut finished two projects and this is one thing to keep me occupied between projects.

Fair enough. I'll still post both anyway if only for reference at the least. Though I agree the no border will look better.

I wasn't sure if it was air, or a really big cuff so I left it in. I'll take it out. No worries.
As for chopping it at the collar, I was originally going to have just his chin popping over the border, but when I went to do it, he had very little chin that would look nice popping over the border without encroaching on Tibalt's hands. Worse comes to worse I could lower the pop zone some more, but then you'll lose the chin overhang (as minor as it is). For other reasons, it looks really panful to say the least, especially when you can't see the body :p
With this I'll leave it be for now. The way I did the picture, uncropping things will be many times easier than re-cropping things.

The way I see it, is that Tibalt is holding the guys head out of the picture, so his hands will also be out of the picture.
Logistically, these need to stay in if you want Tibalt's head to pop. Technically, they can go, as it is a picture. I'll leave them as is for now.
Cropping them out, once they are in, is easy; putting them back in once they've been removed is a lot more difficult.

I'm going to try and make his head pop more, especially with the jawline addition. Oh.... I'm skipping ahead.

I already added some hair to Tibalt's face, but yeah I can add more. I'll see if I can make it pop the edge of the jawline and the hair and I'll see how it looks.

So I actually took all that out, because I thought you just wanted open eyes and whatnot. When I start factoring in the face, I'll leave the tools as needed.

I'll work on it some more and see where it gets.

That all sounds great.

As to the right side I was implying that cropping the blue background out may be good. Not sure if that was mistaken in the way I worded it?

As far as the head gear on the screamer. If you could manage to edit that back in that would be great. Either way Im looking forward to your final results.

What do you think of that shadow on the under side of the hat? On that topic, how hard would it be to shift things down and right as to reveal a bit more of the hat?

In the end how do you think this will turn out once its scaled down to an avatar or signature size? Is it going to meet the data restrictions also? What is it 10kb I believe?

Thanks again.

Okay, so it's effectively finished depending on anything else you're looking to change.
Or here:

HERE is the avatar version of it (at 120 by 120)

I cut the right side background, that was misinterpretation on my part, I think it looks better that way.

The head gear really wasn't turning out well. I managed to keep the eye prongs and kinda forced the head strap, it works enough I think but everything else was clunky and got in the way of Tibalt's hands.

The shadow is really only noticeable because of the white background, it is less noticeable in the final. It adds slight depth which is why I kept it in the first place.

I also was unable to really keep the face in the picture. As mentioned before the angels were wrong, and I'd have to draw new hands, and alter the lightning bolts etc. So instead I gave him his eyes and his nose, and I kept the headband to help with the resemblance, but this was a difficult picture to have the best of both. The lightning really inhibitted the other face; or the other face really inhibitted tibalt's hands and the lightning. It really needed to be one or the other :( Sorry.

That said, I darkened the lightning to make the headgear stand out better , and again I gave him his nose. What do you think?

If there's anything else you want to change or anythig of the sort just let me know.

Looks great. Ill run it.

If you could try to make the larger version as a signature size. Just to see how that looks.

Then as a test. See what happens if you erase the face of the screaming one. Erase from the collar up to the hair line and from left to right in between the burning sections. Then put the tortured face under that layer and slide it into place. See if that makes it any better. If it seems a little better. Then try to cut a layer for each eye clamp, crop those down to perfection and lay them over the top of the Tibalt layer. Then with a little blending you could get the clamps to fit in with the burning areas. The same could be done with parts of the head band to get it to mesh. Just an idea for a different approach.

You did good adding the hair and stamping in the jaw line also. Bottom right corner, I may have rounded that corner right along the flow of the blue collar. But thats my perspective.

Again thank you very much. You pulled it off. I knew this would not be easy. You had a lot of elements going on with this.

Both of you having the same avatar made reading this conversation much much harder. =P

These should satisfy your whims...

Avatar

Full-Sized

I need to now what size for a signature you want if you want a signatue specific version. I don't normally have anything but quotes, so I don't know.

==xx==

Changes:
I "unfolded" the collar.
I made tibalt's eye yellow.
I made tibalt's hair red.
I swapped faces.
I enlarged the mouth.
I altered the color as best I could (that lightning though)
The avatar version I made 120 by 100 to help keep persepctive a bit better.

With the avatar version the faces are almost indistinguishable, but with the full-sized you can tell.

Here's a reference image to see all of the changes from the original... for fun.

Looks good. I dont know the general size of a signature. But its not that big of a deal.

Hey check your PM's.
