Well, it's official. They're watching us.
;)
Sean Gibbons, WOTC's digital community manager has joined our group over at Duels so we know that once again they will lurk at our suggestions for future deck and game ideas. This time we got what many wanted and that is a large pool of cards in which to build your own decks instead of the 100 card constructed decks of last year.
This is a good thing and a bad thing. They are not releasing it on PS3 or 4 this year and Two Headed Giant has been eliminated.
Hopefully they will see our dismay at these decisions with, quite frankly, a little more mature objection than you would find on the mothership.
With the addition of Stevolutionary and his deck building ideas traffic and discussion is picking up and is really adding some value along with 95% less "I'm not byin du game yo!!!", "Wzrds Suk!" and more like it.

All that said because I want to thank Sarah and everyone else who helped us find a new home that seems to be becoming more "official" than the official forum.
This is a nice home!

Between this and Pete Venters dropping by it's sure looking like this site (and Tumblr) are becoming the de-facto "official" spaces for Magic. (Although, of course, other artists hang around Salvation, so they've got that claim to fame.)

To be honest, I know some pro players will be dropping by the DOTP forum.
Don't ask me how I know, I just do.

I found this forum from a post in the wotc forums.

Why was this forum created? Also is goblins another way of saying trolls?

Anyway its good to see the level of activity here. Is there strong group of players here deck brewing?

It was created because the Wizards forums are a disaster on many, many levels. Goblins are just goblins though. We don't like goblins around these parts. They aren't allowed.

We have the strongest players on the entire Internet and we'll take anyone on!

Many of the old forums could use a cleansing. Strongest players on the net huh!?

Nope, nope, we're definitely the best.

Granted I haven't verified this myself because all I do here is critique people's Magic fanfiction but I have every confidence in the people here. GO NATIONALISM!

Cato, MissBun and ShadowChu > over them anyways. I don't really hang around that part of the forum much though so I couldn't tell you how good the brewing is. There are people here though, so that puts us above WOTC.

Yeah, I can't believe Islands hasn't been banned yet for being too powerful.

I'm surprised I'm on the list, I'm mostly a limited player.

I thought the concept of "brewing" only applied to constructed though...

oh yeah I was joking. although there's still brewing of a sort in limited, when you find off-the-wall decks that don't just follow your typical goodstuff archetypes. like the BUG self-mill in Innistrad, for instance.
