But yeah 2 Choice 2 Freedom: Ravnica Drift is probably a good introduction to what we're doing, and I don't think it relies too heavily on Ravnican politics for it to make sense (particularly now that the Interlude is gone).

Yeah, just need to iron out the crease its removal has caused.

And incidentally, I'm fairly certain Vin Diesel would approve of our stories. The guy loves playing D&D so I wouldn't be surprised if he played Magic.

Apparently he's also a big videogame nerd.

Considering that he got fed up with people making bad licensed games of his movies and so made his own studio and produced the best game of its genre for the year?

Indeed!

Although, I don't think I have actually seen many Vin Diesel movies, come to think of it.

I did catch Pitch Black on basic cable a couple months back, but I wound up watching it with the volume off, because Mrs. OL fell asleep on the sofa.

Pitch Black was a bit difficult to follow with the volume off.

Only if you don't have caption on. I always have captions/subtitles on by necessity, so even when I have to mute a program/movie I'm not missing a whole lot.

I went to Pitch Black in the theatre.

I've never seen it since...

Just came home to find the support arm for our awning inside the kitchen. As in, it literally punched through the wall of my house. So now there's a big honkin' hole in my wall.

Alright then.

Wow.

Sorry to hear that, Keeper. I hope your day gets better!

Thank God you weren't there when it happened?

That stinks with a capital "S." I'm so sorry, Keeper.

Good news! I just went through and retooled the Work template so that now individual Works will automatically be categorized in both the M:EM Works category (43 things in there! Holy cow!) and the Type category (currently Poem or Story) that you drop in. (Types must be capitalized to go to the proper category.)

But the most magical thing of all is that those categories will NOT show up for the character page that the stories are transcluded onto! I've only been trying to figure that crap out for, what, months now? Ugh.

Anyway, so that's standardized now, which is pretty freaking sweet!

Not gonna lie, I'm feeling pretty smug about this. It's a rather clever workaround actually that capitalizes on the fact that the stories are all Templates. I knew there was a good reason to create them as templates rather than just regular pages! :D

Also Category:M:EM_Work Category:M:EM_Story Category:M:EM_Poem in case you were curious.

I feel like my work is under-represented in the M:EM Poem section. Remind me to put more of my poems up for vote...

:D

On a completely unrelated note, have I mentioned how much I hate my summer job? Because I hate my summer job muchly...

@ Keeper - That Wiki is sliiiiiiiiiiick! You're even better than the swarms of tiny monks which I assume live inside all of my electrical devices and make them work.

(That is how electricity works, right?)

What could we do to cheer you up?

Hmm. Do any of you have an easy way to skip the next 28 hours? That would do it.

You could try not sleeping and drinking a whoooole lot of coffee! That tends to make time go a little blurry for me.

Of course then I usually lose most of my fine motor skills and can't follow a conversation for more than two sentences but if you're really trying to melt the clock that's the way I'd do it!

Well, let me think.

You could listen to "Supercollider" by Tribe about 395 times.

Or, you could listen to "Revolution" by Bang Camaro about 480 times.

Or, you could listen to "Frontload" by Freezepop about 420 times.

I'm sure you could also mix and match, but that's too much math for me.

I suppose I could watch Laserblast about 14 times...

Then you'd have 35 stars from Leonard Maltin!

True, but Leonard Maltin also liked Gorgo, so...
