Also naming one card from Legends doesn't really prove much.

In the story, the Toshiro Umezawa is transported to Dominaria at the very end. So the umezawa from legends is his descendant. So Kamigawa is directly connected with most past sets

Okay that's pretty cool, but it's still just one side story.

What I was saying was that the style of the block was completely unlike everything else in magic.
And that completely different I did not like.

Yeah, Arabian Nights, The Dark, FE, Homelands, Masques are all pretty similar.

so exactly how many "stories" have to relate to another block for it to be ok to you. When ravnica came out, it was completely separate in all ways from any prior sets. Yet it was still awesome.

its fine that you don't like it
its not fine for you to say that it's objectively bad for this reason

And coincidently, all of those are considered some of the worst sets in magic by a large amount of people

You're misunderstanding what I'm saying. It's two separate things.
I personally think the separate storylines bit is stupid and want to go back to Dominaria.
But what really annoyed me was how over the top the Japanese theme was. And that theme was nothing like the rest of Dominaria/Ravnica/etc. I mean if Magic made a set about year 4000 earth with super robots and terminators (and yes I realize there have been those to a degree in past sets) but i'm talking super hard core star trek/terminator/futuristic stuff, wouldn't you find that obnoxiously off flavor of the game? I know I would.

so the only good sets are the ones that followed the weatherlight crew. okay.

well, i guess you can have fun disliking Magic since you don't play it anymore anyway.

no one says "wow all those sets had horrible flavour"

they are regarded as bad because many cards printed that long ago have not aged well

or they are the power 9, force of will etc. etc.

Yep that is exactly what I said.

Instead of going out of your way to troll me, try reading what I actually said.

Kamigawa is completely different from the rest of the game.

I did not like this new direction

As did obviously the rest of the magic world since they have stayed far far far away from it since.

I don't think this is related. wotc is free to try out whatever they want with their game. They are allowed to create new settings or re use old ones like ravnica.

just because they haven't re used Kamigawa doesn't mean its literally the worst thing to happen to magic and its terrible

many people liked kamigawa, just look at this thread

Trolling isn't telling you that your opinions are dumb. Your arguments aren't good. You can just say you don't like Kamigawa instead of saying it was objectively bad and making up some supposed facts to prove your point.

Sets that have nothing to do with the "rest" of Magic:
Theros
Ravnica Blocks
Innistrad
Zendikar
Shards of Alara
Lorwyn
Shadowmoor
Kamigawa
Mirrodin

So, we're looking at half of the sets in Magic, right?

Maybe you should re read the things I've said.

When someone says "something is horrible" doesn't mean they are saying "something is objectively horrible and you are all unequivocally wrong".

You are just being annoying and looking for excuses to attack me. I never said I can't see any reason why anyone would like it, I never said you're not allowed to like it, I never said you were wrong for liking it. I thought what I was saying was pretty freaking clear for anyone with any level of rational thought.

EDIT:
Okay, maybe you weren't trolling and were just that blindly hateful.

So, it went from objectively worst, to well I have opinions that aren't fact, to why are you trolling me you're mean.

It's okay to say I'm an idiot when you're the one making statements as fact and cannot back them up. It's fine.

Actually no, I never said it was the objectively worst, and never thought that.

You're putting words in my mouth to suit your argument and save face.

You saw red and went after it. It's okay. Just go away and stop digging deeper.

EDIT:
I also like how you leave the second part of my quote- about Mark Rosewater which highlights
how it is CLEARLY a not literally serious post. I mean come on. Next time I'll put "not literally serious" tags
on everything I say because you clearly can't comprehend basic humor on your own.

you saying that is literally on the first page of this thread lol

and tony, nobody thinks you're joking because you're a brick wall. If anybody makes a joke with you, you think they're trolling you.

Saying your "arguments" are bad isn't trolling.
