Great! I like prey upon because I can kill off a would be defender and get in for full damage. Bellow would be a nice addition though but I just dunno if I want to lower my beasts personally. There have been a few games where I was forced into top decking and having the higher chance to pull a beast really brought me back into the match and gave me the win. I can't think of a time where I ever NEEDED the pump.

Not saying that bellow wouldn't be a total wrecking ball but I feel for me it would be over kill. Now one thing about making a similar variant but having red in there is the earlier turn of a beast drop and the replacement of my prey upon with tectonic rift. That would be an amazing card to have access to in this deck. But once again, it does kinda lower the odds a little as at times having two colors CAN slow you down.

Granted there isn't much thinking to this build it just wins by itself, but it does it VERY consistently.

Here is the list I used to steal awin against the #1 ranked player on Android. (he was running a W/G token deck using premiums)

"Food Truck" (no premiums)
23 Forest
4 Radiant Fountain
-
4 Prey Upon
4 Grave Bramble
3 Triumph of Ferocity
3 Reclamation Sage
4 Hunt the Weak
4 Nessian Asp
2 Arbor Colossus
2 Phytotitan
1 Soul of Zendikar
-
3 Warmonger's Chariot
3 Gargoyle Sentinel

I drew at least one copy of every card in the deck that game, except Phytotitan and Soul of Zendikar.
The Triumph came down on turn 4-ish and was triggering for the rest of the game. So maybe I got lucky.
He casted a Reclamation Sage once or twice in the game, but never targeting the Triumph, for some reason. He targeted Gargoyle Sentinel instead.

What am I considering doing is
-2 Phytotitan
-1 Forest
+3 Pelakka Wurm

EDIT: I made this change:
-2 Phytotitam
-1 Soul of Zendikar
+3 Pelakka Wurm

currently 2-1
edit: 4-2

2best --- you have aura gnarlid but no auras -- isn't there something better than 2/2 for 3. I guess the "can't block" feature is worthwhile.

The un-blockable factor is amazing.. Really great when he gets counters tossed at him. Not to mention, there isn't really a better option.

Plus, aura gnarlid is "for each aura on the field" so - if you're playing someone else with auras, you get the buff.

So over the next couple weeks my goal is to work on the mono-color slots and this is what I have come up with for mono-green. It is similar to some other builds. An aggroish mid-range green.

When I first went to work on mono-green I wanted a ramped up trample based fatty deck but it just isn't a realistic strategy with what we have atm. What I did come up with went 8-2 online and I was surprisingly happy with it. So here it is:

[manapie 90 -w -u -b -r g][/manapie]

Hunt Something

A one vs. one deck for Magic 2015.

60 Cards (26 :creature: , 9 :instant: , 25 :land:)

Cost 11 cards
■■■■
Young Wolf1/1
■■■■
Prey Upon
■■■
Primal Bellow
Cost 4 cards
■■■■
Elvish Visionary1/1
Cost 8 cards
■■■■
Advocate of the Beast2/3
■■■■
Battering Krasis2/1
Cost 7 cards
■■■
Mold Shambler3/3
■■■■
Primal Huntbeast3/3
Cost 2 cards
■■
Hunter's Prowess
Cost 3 cards
Soul of Zendikar6/6
■■
Terra Stomper8/8
Land25 cards
25
Forest

I initially had 4x Radiant Fountain in as well but the life-gain wasn't outweighing the extra "oomph" with Bellow so I replaced them with Forests.

I ran this deck with 24 land and continually found it just wasn't enough so I had to bump it up to 25 and it was a lot more consistent after that.

Primal Bellow is a beast here (especially on a Krasis with Trample) and I love using it in combination with Prey Upon during the 2nd Main Phase after killing an unsuspecting blocker or damaging the opponent straight to the face (or both with Trample, lol).

I really wanted to have something else in place of the Visionaries but everything I tried just wasn't cutting it and that extra draw is pretty crucial when trying to get that 1 more land as well as it being an early drop.

As always, comments are welcome. It isn't the strongest deck in the meta, but for mono-green I am very happy with it!

Edit: -3 Garruk's Packleader, +2 Hunter's Prowess, +1 Soul of Zendikar

Ok, Modified my deck to what you have above since there was only a couple cards difference. Fun stuff when it works. But, man after a couple bad games. I made a new Mono Green, Ignoring the beast theme. Sadly it works MUCH better. lol
Triumph of Ferocity with Grave Bramble out seems to make that always trigger, Since it's so easy to use that wall as a Sniping point with Prey upon. And getting extra draw each turn is huge.

Also got Cultivate in here to help ramp and Thin the deck. Wish full on beast could work out the same. just too much work to get the combo's to go. When this is so much easier.

Garruk 2.0

22 Creatures:
4 Young Wolf
4 Elvish Vissionary
4 Grave Bramble
2 Mold Shambler
2 Genesis Hydra
2 Phytotitan
2 Terra Stomper
1 Soul Of Zendikar
1 Pelakka Wurm

10 Spells:
4 Prey Upon
3 Primal Bellow
3 Cultivate

4 Enchantments:
2 Beastmaster Ascension
2 Triumph Of Ferocity

24 Lands:
24 Forest

@Hanika That's kind of funny, because before going with a beast theme I had a deck that looked a lot more like what you have now and after a slew of bad games I made the deck I posted with much better success, lol. I think the bottom line here is that mono-green just isn't really the best out there.

You know with 4x Grave Bramble it might be worth throwing in a couple of the "defender can attack" equips (I forget the name of it and can't access duels atm, I'll edit it in later). Edit: Warmonger's Chariot. Thanks Hakeem, lol.

Wild Stampede
Premium Deck

Land (25)
25 x Forest

Green Cards (34)
3 x Primal Bellow
4 x Elvish Pioneer
4 x Prey Upon
4 x Elvish Visionary
4 x Cultivate
2 x Arbor Colossus
2 x Hunter's Prowess
3 x Garruk's Packleader
2 x Enlarge
2 x Terra Stomper
2 x Phytotitan
2 x Pelakka Wurm

Colorless Cards (1)
1 x Kozilek, Butcher of Truth

---

Information
The premise of this deck is simple: ramp into a fatties then stomp on your opponent's face. There is a good amount of ramp and draw in this deck and it will test your mulligan skills. Ideally you want to mulligan into an alright ramp and/or draw package to start you off. Then ramp as fast as you can and start dropping fatties or big pumps. Also, if the game does begin to go on for a while, Garruk's Packleader and Phytotitan will work well together to keep you drawing cards.

Edits
Edit 1: Removed unnecessary information and deck stats.

4-0 so far with this deck:
edit: 5-0
edit: 5-3*

:<

mono G "The Ranch" (no premiums)
22 Forest
4 Radiant Fountain
-
4 Grave Bramble
4 Grazing Gladeheart
2 Elder of Laurels
4 Nylea's Disciple
4 Nessian Asp
2 Arbor Colossus
3 Pelakka Wurm
-
4 Prey Upon
4 Hunt the Weak
3 Triumph of Ferocity

one game I drew nothing but 1 Elder, 1 Grave Bramble, 2 Prey Upon, 3 Hunt the Weak, and 8 Forest. Opponent had Baneslayer. I had Grave Bramble. Opponent plays Stormbreath Dragon allowing me to Hunt the Weak and make Bramble bigger. I do that. Now I can Hunt the Weak the Baneslayer. I do that. I'm at 6 life. I have nothing but a 5/6 Grave Bramble. Opponent has Mausoeulm Guard. He casts Armored Ascension on it. He has 4 plains in play. x_x

I also lost to a G/U deck by someone with Battle Mastery. I was able to stabilize, but he was running Artful Dodge.

The lack of love for Hunter's Prowess makes me a sad panda. It's so damn good. Right when mono green starts to get slim on cards, BOOM your hand gets completely reloaded, giving you more than enough ammo and flexibility for the win.

You are right, Garruk's Packleader is good but maybe I would be better off with 1x Packleader and 2x Hunter's Prowess.

The Packleader is a damn fine card.. but he only gives draw conditionally, is somewhat removable, and it's just 1 card per creature.

The only drawback of Hunter's Prowess is you need to play it at a safe time, like when you know your opponent can't act on you.. so I typically wait for them to tap out unless I know their deck doesn't contain an instant speed answer. I don't even care about throwing an 11/11 Terra Stomper at a Giant Scorpion/Pharika's Chosen.. it's worth it for 8-10 card and 8-10 damage.

^This. Against decent players with decent decks, there's going to be too many times that you try and cast it and get slapped.

It's a great card, but, it can be a huge risk

Riskwise, there is no difference between this and enlarge.
I remember being jumped at when I advised people to remove enlarge from Hunter's strength.
This is a much safer meta.

This is a much safer meta, and...I never ran enlarge in HS.
It's not so much the kill spells that worry me, since there's not much...but, there's a ton of bounce, and that's what makes it risky.

there are also fog and safe passage.
I agree that it needs testing, and decision about these cards can only be made after the expansions when the meta is decided.
