I've been drawing a lot lately, and I have a few pictures that I finally got to a point that I'm satisfied with, so I figured I post them here and share them with you guys.
Right now there's only three, but there will be more as I find time. I'm currently focusing on practicing posing and shading. So right now, I'm piecing things together like frankenstein. I find a face I like, I find a body I like, I find the right orientation etc. I put them together and draw them as one (hopefully fluent) being.
Shading is the next biggest thing that I need to work on, and I usually don't do any. I have to force myself to use it.
With time I hope to get better and not need as much setup. The Twitch Plays Pokemon is my first 100% free-hand, so I'm going in the right direction.
Enjoy!
Anybody keeping up with Twitch Plays Pokemon, knows what this is about. And if you don't, here's a brief description. When there's thousands of people inputting commands, and they decide to use the PC, it's almost always disastrous. This was entirely drawn.
Young Link fell asleep, and Adult Link needs hm to wake up. Everyone knows a good prank does the trick right? Young Epona wanted to help too. This was a combination of tracing and drawing.
A custom designed playmat that I made for my friend and I to play Magic on. You might recognize some of the characters. I took some of his favorite things, and some of my favorite things and put them together. Everything is drawn, except for the above parts.
An original picture featuring my favorite Pokemon! This was hand-drawn with pencil and pen. Then (because I don't have a scanner), I took a picture of it and uploaded it to my laptop where I filled in color and some more detail. 100% original work. Hand-drawn; computer-filled.
An orignal picture feturing Ponyta and Rapidash. Hand-drawn with pencil and colored pencil. I changed it for the computer because the CP doesn't show up as good, and when playing around with the brightness/contrast I accidentally stumbled upon this setting which I thought fit the two pokemon very well. 100% original work (but based on previous images for reference). Hand-drawn; computer-contrasted.
I uploaded the original (with the "filling") and the contrasted one. I like the contrasted one mostly because it looks like something a kid would draw for class. 100% original work. Hand-drawn; computer-contrasted.
squinty_eyes: Alt, you have fantastic logic. And zero political prowess. CKY: Through a convoluted series of events involving three tons of garden gnomes and a pickup truck, Henderson’s Magikarp defeats the Deoxys terrorizing the city.
The attachments dont work for me. Could you host them on something like imgur and then use IMG tags?
I cant see the files via desktop, laptop, or phone.
That's a better idea than I had in place. It has been implemented; thanks!

It's a custom playmat that I designed for me and my friend. Some of the references include Magic: the Gathering, My Little Pony, Super Smash Brothers, The Legend of Zelda, and Pokémon. The original plan was to make two different playmats (one for each of us) each one would feature our Commanders (see if you can figure out what they are). His would feature his Commander in the lead, while mine would feature my Commander in the lead. I thought that would be fun, but too bland so I started adding things. It started out purely MTG, but then I got creative and added a bunch of stuff. What do you guys think?

I just watched episode 4:21 for My Little Pony, and there was this one scene where Rainbow Dash (saddened) lay on a cloud, then it turned gray and started to rain. It was as adorable as it was clever and inspired this next piece. 50/50 drawing and tracing.

My friend is coming home from college in about a week. Last time he did, we (his family and I) filled in / colored about fifty My Little Pony pictures (he's not a fan) and hid them everywhere in his room, to the point where he didn't find them all; which we found hilarious.
This time, we (same) are drawing the original 150 pokemon (he is a fan) and are going to do the same thing. So expect more pokemon pictures as well as one rainbow dash series (I'm doing a before, during, second during and after on that), in the coming days.
For now, my first... it took an hour to draw / color and then about twenty minutes to edit. --xx--

Same as above, but with a different pokemon. This time I colored it in deeper to see if the colors showed better. It still needed some "filling" to look right. I uploaded the original (with the "filling") and the contrasted one. I like the contrasted one mostly because it looks like something a kid would draw for class. 100% original work. It certainly looks like it could work. I can't put more work into it as I'm trying to spam pictures left and right (otherwise they would look better). I'll probably come back and touch them up in a few weeks.

Also, now that my friend is back from college and I'm not solely spamming pokemon pictures, I'm going to be able to upload a few. My favorite is Jynx and Oddish, and I'm looking forwards to share them with you guys.

Here is Oddish. The picture I'll be posting from now on will be all original work, unless otherwise noted. Having to draw a crapton of pokemon in the span of a week has let me really discover how to better angle and portray things. Oh the things you learn for a simply prank. I'll explain the prank in a bit, with the next picture; when it's done.

Here's Jynx. This one, I colored in and there's a story behind it. We drew all the pokemon pictures and hid them throughout my friends room. His least favorite pokemon is Jynx, and I wanted to make Jynx REALLY creepy, so I based her off Skull Kid from the Legend of Zelda series. I drew this picture on put it in plain sight at the opposite end of his bedroom. I hid my laptop under his bed and had it play the forest temple theme from Ocarina of Time. On top of that, I made a mask of the face, and I hid in his room such that when he went looking for the music and/or pictures, I would be able to pop out unnoticed and scare the daylights out of him. It. Was. Awesome. As for the picture, because it was colored in so fully, all I had to do was blow it up and enhance the colors. I lost some details in the eyes, and some of the finer lines, but overall the picture turned out well (I think).
