Kamigawa is one of my favorite blocks too. I'm with you, Ko. The flavor was super well developed and despite the powerlevel being lower than the grossly overpowered Darksteel, it had a lot of interesting cards and mechanics that were unlike anything Magic had before. It was great.

Kamigawa was literally the worst thing to ever happen to magic.

Except Mark Rosewater.

I'm disgusted in all of you.

No the flavor was just a bunch of ported stories. If you want to say that was original, of course it was developed, the stories had been around for thousands of years.

so, adaptation of japanese folk lore isn't flavorful. interesting.

i guess not every set can be as cool and flashy like classic sixth.

It was bizarre, out of character from the rest of the game, woefully underpowered, poorly constructed, the featured mechanics- soulshift and splice don't work with anything else in the game. and maybe i'm alone on this one, but i thought the art was ugly and over the top.

that's not what i was saying at all.

if they did a set on irish folklore, i'd think that would be equally dumb.
